My Bass Pro store gave me an in store sale on the Outback that honored the the internet sale price. Going to start checking their site more for bargains then grab it at the store.

I was in a Basspro right outside of Birmingham last week, and they didnt even know what I was talking about! They had the Pett stuff in stock, but no this one... Guess I will have to try another store.

I bought mine at Cableas, but they no longer carry it. Dang, I was going to pick up a spare for the day I can't fold it up without destructively bending it.

Jason, from Wheelers for the Wounded, and I saw and tested these at Cabellas a couple weekends ago when he was staying at my house before the Phoenix event. This thing was pretty tough to fold up at first but once you figure out where to hold it when you start the motion we were both able to fold it up rather quickly. Doing it from a wheelchair was a little tougher but it was doable! I think I'm going to get one for my trips.

Does anybody have a report on how this holds up in the rain? Sounds like it does well with wind, but is it an all weather shelter?

Hey

With the open top, you will get wet unless you throw another tarp over it; but at the same time it will hold up very well in 40 mile per wind when properly staked and it's great to have. I love mine, folding it back up takes some practice.

Hey I just wanted to pipe in and say you can still get them at Cabellas as of October. They are now called a "Trekker Porta Privy" I really like it. Not real stiff--a concern in high wind areas, but easy to fold and lay flat to put a rock on. It comes with stakes, foot print, and these nifty little bags to fill with sand or dirt to use as anchors.

But they did away with glow-in-the-dark zippers and it doesn't match my soon to be eezi-awn! Devils in the details, but still a smokin' price.
