I have had problems loading pics on this site. I tried a year ago and just tried again the pics will not upload onto expo.... I have pics on both photo bucket and image shack. I have absolutely no problem loading pics from either one on to other sites so I know its not either photo hosting site. Its THIS site. Example : I will copy the pic on host site come back here click on the little landscape icon, paste in the box that appears but no photo will post. Any help would be great as I would like to post photos as well as everyone else Thank You... Thomas

Sounds like your close. Using the landscape icon is the easy way. Just be sure you are pasting the URL link to your picture into that window and not the actual copied picture from your photo site.

If you post the URL link to your photo into that window and say OK, your photo should be visible in your post.

Example: This is what I paste into the image window http://bgarland.smugmug.com/Nature/Aqua-Caliente-Park/Agua-Caliente-Park-5/889828159_WLvDx-XL.jpg

There's a thread here http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2376 that talks about how to post photos. It's simple once you choose a method (there are several that work).

The approach I use is to upload my photos to Photobucket.com (your account is free), and then paste the link provided by Photobucket
into the message on ExPo. The photo has to have the tag

after the URL of the photo for the ExPo message to actually display the photo. Otherwise, the URL shows up as a link to the Photobucket web page.

That's what I love about SmugMug so much (and the super image quality). You can scale that image on the fly, simply by changing the URL at the tail end from -XL, to -L (large), -M (medium), -S (small), -X2 (really big), -X3 (enormous):
