My wife hated mine with bias super swampers on because she couldn't have a conversation with me because of the noise ... I put radial A/T's on and now she loves it. Now I find it too noisy:D

At least you didn't say, "The wife said today..." What is up with that? Why do other men say that? Like she was a necessary part of your life that you have ambivalence about?. Most women tend to say "My husband." I know what it is. It seems impersonal when you say "The wife." Like someone you chained yourself to. Like, "I took the dog over to the ranch today." Why not "I took Rusty out to the ranch with me today?" It leaves me feeling, "Uhh, uh-uh! I wouldn't go out with this guy if I know he thinks about me that way."

Unfortunately, I think a lot of guys say things like this to pull off a kind of macho persona. I'm not sure why it's UNmacho to just admit that your wife or girlfriend is probably the most important person in your life. Let's face it, MOST of us (not all) would be much worse off without a woman in our lives. I reassure my girlfriend of this pretty often. Let them know how much they are appreciated and they will tend to return the favor. Either respect the woman you're with ( to her face, behind her back and on forums) or find one that you do respect.

(This is in no way a response to the original poster. Only the person I quoted.)

Good thing you left off web sites and addresses - that way, she doesn't go looking for this. Just remember that divorces are VERY expensive. Ask my Dad about it when you do a seance.

I hadn't thought about that, since I don't understand men.

She will have you committed and the Disco hauled of to the scrap yard.

Can the spouse in this situation take control of the rest of the assets? Watch out! There are lots of what we call Gold Diggers. At times, we can be jealous of them because they can have an easy life, all paid for, and they get rid of the person who made it possible for them, without lifting a finger. I'm referring to people who marry for money, basically. I despise people who do this sort of thing.

i would never talk about my wife to anyone, other then to praise her. you are messing with fire.

i've been married for over 10 years. We have had:

1-toyota (1985 extra cab on 33's and a flatbed)
3- jeeps (commander, 1994 grand cherokee, 1978 wagoneer)
1-range rover

you have to include your wife in it. that's the only way it works for me. i let her make some little decisions. she usually likes what we have had. she loved the commander but hated the GC and Waggy. So I sold those and just bought the Range Rover.

She likes the rover and its easy to work on, works good off-road and has all the luxuries she likes (heated seats, AC, Power Windows, and its roomy, and rides nice)

marriage is a compromise. But I can't imagine my life without my wife and kids.

Ahhhhhh, you guys are scaring the **** out of me, if I had to get rid of my Disco cause of my wife then I'll just stay single. I love the Discovery's I'm thinking of buying one.

You guys have it all wrong. You should be including:

A. Likes to go camping
B. likes big old 4X4s

to your criteria for deciding whether or not to ask her to marry you. It never hurts to find someone who likes going some of the things you like to do.

And don't try to tell me that there are no women out there who like to go camping or off roading. Not a huge number but there are some of us warped enough to like doing those kinds of things.

Thanks, She did like camping when we were dating, now not so much. I have 19 years and three kids. Thank god my sons like to camp. Yes lots of girls like to camp and off road. But my wife lost the loving feeling I guess. I wish we met 20 years ago. Really I wouldnt change a thing.
