WJ Dana 35 Repaklacement Axle Shafts

I'm looking at replacement/spare rear axle shafts on my wife's Dana 35 equipted WJ non-C-clip.
Any one have experience with Superior or Alloy USA Shafts? They are considerably less expensive then the factory shafts and supposedly stronger. Have not found any used shafts locally. WJ does get off roaded. I think it would be nice to have spares when traveling/off roading and it is easier to have a complete set on hand when the axle seals are leaking (again).
Any recommendations/experience?

If it's stock why even bother spending the extra money? I picked up stock spares for about $50 each but luckily am yet to need one.

I agree. Used stock is what I prefer for cost. I have not been able find any locally. Replacements at the auto parts chain stores are $350-400.

PM me, I hit the salvage yard every 2 weeks or so and can keep an eye out for some, usually have 1 or 2 WJ's there when I go.

I've got a couple more yards to check locally. I'll let you know if if I have to expand my search. I'd like to find some local to save shipping. The WJ does get off roaded when we travel. My CUCV is not comfortable for long trips.

I've got a seal leaking on the passenger side again. My small shop press is not tall enough to press the new bearing retainer on. Spares would speed the process of changing the seals and give a little security when traveling.

Nice, a buddy has an 88 Suburban with the 6.2 and added the Banks turbo upgrade last year, I'm jealous of his 22mpg highway! I keep debating on getting a chassis with a 6.2 in it, indeed a great expedition engine.

I like mine. Turbo would be nice. I think I'm getting around 18mpg with 33" tires and 4:10 gears. My body spent to much time in the midwest. I've got a CUCV replacement body to swap. Just have not got it done yet. The joys of a 25+ year old rig.
