Big thanks to Jim for planning this trip and making it such a success. It was great seeing old faces and meeting some new ones. Now on to the pictures!

Our second camp was at around 10,100 (ish) feet.

On Sunday morning after we all packed up, four of us broke off and did some exploring to see if we could find another way down. We ended up catching up with the main group but the detour was well worth it.

I'll try to get through some more edits but in the mean time I am sure more people will post up.

So you did make it via the alternate route. Did it take you down to that highway we could see from the ridge coming up/going down?
You proved a certain someone wrong.

Josh (HB4x4) those images of Bodie are amazing. I am loving the HDR shots. I was standing right next to you and can't figure out how you got those two shots of the Stamp Mill without anyone in them! Sweet shots man. Also really like the street sign and the view through the old car of the buildings. It was a pleasure meeting you and Lisa this weekend.

After seeing Josh's photos, I am embarrassed to post mine. I am definitely going to be asking a lot of questions next time!
Sure would have been fun to camp next to the lake!

Awesome write up and great to see pictures from the area around my home town of Bridgeport CA. I recognize many of the locations and it makes me yearn for a trip back to where I first four wheeled. Thank you.

Oh, where does the lake come into play? We never passed a lake. Did they come down the route we took then go back to the lake?

Yes, they went all the way down to the lake and then all the way back and rolled up where we had aired up. Those guys moved really fast in their built 4Runners!

Thank you! It was a pleasure to meet you as well. Getting those shots with no one in them was tricky, but not as tricky as getting the shots without getting yelled at by our delightful tour leader. :sombrero:

I for one would love to see your shots. The lake was beautiful, but it was definitely the source of those clouds of mosquitos. If you could time it before they hatch then it would be a perfect camp site for about 4-5 trucks, maybe a couple more.
