He had the prices posted on that sportbike forum, but he... "Got a call from GoPro today, they noticed that I posted this thread with the prices
listed and said either remove the prices or lose your dealership."

Since I live in a college town full of outdoor adventurers, I am even considering buying more of them and renting them out.

Did you get the 960 or 1080?

The helmet hero is a 1080. it is the same camera in the surf, motorsports, and naked hero kit.

He emailed me and told me since people kept posting prices, gopro suspended his dealership with them because he wasn't adhering to their MAP policy. :/

Bummer. I mean I understand MAP policy.... but why to people have to ruin a good thing... Oh well.

One reason why deals on existing GoPro models may be popping up is that the company just announced a new and much improved model called the hd hero 2 pro. The camera has a new lens, new sensor, new processor and new menu system.

I am still going to be happy with my purchase I think. I still think the camera I got is well worth the price I paid, and I am sure I will get my money's worth, but still... I can't help but want that new one...
