Hi all. So I have a Gobi Stealth roof rack on my Jeep JKU and also have a Freespirit Recreation Adventurer 55 RTT (about 135 lbs). As noted in several threads, mounting RTTs on the Gobi rack is a bit of a pain and because of my awning mounts, I would like to get the base of the tent a little...
I've had a Raingler barrier net and roof net in our XTerra for years, and they are top notch quality all around. In the XTerra though, they anchor to factory hooks, so I cannot comment on how well the footman loops hold up.
You might also check out www.theXterra.org It's more of a second generation Xterra (2005 - current) following over there. Plenty of S models on there that are very trail capable.
