Raingler Cargo Net

We have been talking about buying of building a cargo barrier for years but never got around to actually doing it. Last month our son was born so we need to get something. We're ordering the raingler full barrier kit for our 4th gen 4Runner.

Does anyone have experience with these or have they heard anything about them. They look pretty good but the only thing that worries me is that the top footman loops are anchored with just self tapping screws in the body. I'm not sure how strong those are, I have a bad habit of overbuilding stuff, but I want this to be strong enough to be safe. We have some fairly heavy stuff in the back like a fridge, tool box, etc..

What do u guys think?

Here's their site

Not sure about how the net fits a 4Runner, but I an tell you that I love the one I bought for my Jeep. The hardware is beefy. I too use it to keep stuff in the cargo area and not on my daughter in case of an accident. Don't know if my post was helpful at all. Good luck and congrats on your son.

I've had a Raingler barrier net and roof net in our XTerra for years, and they are top notch quality all around. In the XTerra though, they anchor to factory hooks, so I cannot comment on how well the footman loops hold up.

:sombrero: I've been using raingler nets for over 16 years and I've never had any kind of failure/break/tear/tension loss-

If you use these snaps, you can hookup/release to cargo loops--quickly-

Glad to hear people have good experience with them. Everything is still going to be properly secured in the back so we shouldn't need the net but it's kind of a back up incase something comes loose and moves forward.

We ordered it so once we get it and I install it I'll let u guys know how it fits.

I bought a barrier net and a large ceiling net for my 2000 Xterra when the nets first became available. I moved the nets to my 2014 Xterra last year. They both work great. I'm guessing that I've had them for about 8 years and they still look new. No stretching. The hardware still works fine.

I also have a large roof rack containment net that I used on a Yakima mega-warrior for a couple of years. It was outside in hot and cold and still looks and works like new.

Got the net up before we drove up to the expo. Fits great and everything seems like it's really good quality. I did have to get some small carabiners because I couldn't get it tight enough with the connections that came with it

Not trying to be funny, but make sure you have it installed right side up. I've put mine in upside down a few times, and of course it doesn't fit well that way.

Actually I didn't even think to check if it was right side up haha, either way it fits great now with the carabiners so I'm not gonnna mess with it.
