Over spring break (my wife works for NAU) my wife and I had a great trip. I will be filling in some details and of course putting up some photos, this is kind of a stub entry for now, but If I never start it I wont ever get it done. So please bear with me.

Like many trip reports I have read here these are for you the reader so ask questions and I try to answer them and feel free to tell me what you would like to see.

Shout outs due to the creators of these report threads as they were useful and are a strong motivator to make one of own:

Thanks!

I hope I can find a way to host the map tiles I used and some of the track files that I at times followed.

Day 1 Flagstaff, AZ to Tuscon Az - stayed with friends in Tuscon
Day 2 Mountain biking at Fantasy Island in Tuscon and drinking lots of Tuscon beer and eating really well.
Day 3 Left Tuscon and on to Bisbee for coffee, on to Douglas AZ, then Agua Prieta then on to Nuevo Casa Grande. Mexican officials at the border didn't even want to see our passports and just waved us through and suddenly we were in Mexico
Day 4 Nuevo Casa Grande to Creel
Day 5 Mountain Biking in Creel - rented bikes from 3amigos. http://www.amigos3.com/

Day 8 Drove all the way to Ciudad Cuauhtemoc had planned to camp just outside creel but howling winds and rain drove us onward

Day 10 Nuevo Casa Grande to Silver City New Mexico, the border crossing at Palomas was pretty easy. I have to say US border patrol here were really quite polite and a cut above Bellingham Washington, and another league from the TSA. Not a bad customer service experience really.
