Hey guys. I have a 2021 E350 Godzilla premium, 16' box, 4:56 gears. Over the last 3 years I've averaged 9.5 MPG. The premium vs economy difference is in torque only...468 vs 425. Both are rated at 350hp. I've covered miles with various loads from basically empty to 6000 lbs. MPG changes minimally with the load but moreso with speed and wind.
Great info.
Is this a camper? If yes, how did you keep it under 6K pounds?

The box van has been great. No complaints with power whatsoever. If I had to change something it would be the gearing. 4:56 is overkill for my needs. If the tires weren't 90% tread, I'd go up a few sizes to cushion the ride a bit under light loads and possibly gain 1 MPG or so.
When you have it tuned, doesn’t hp go up as well as torque?
What size tires do you have now?
You think you could get away with 4.11 gears?

The stock F series numbers from 2021 are 430hp and 475 torque with the 7.3. The 7.3 platform seems to have a wide range of tunes from mild to wild. The introduction of Forscan interface allows all kinds of modifications at the user level. More info is scattered throughout the various Ford forums.

I've been slowly modifying over the last couple years. First thing was Koni RV shocks. The variable rate valving greatly improved the ride. Added two removable seats behind the cab using DOT approved materials and equipment. Installed a Maxx Air fan in the front of the box. Installed double pane low E side windows and Insulated floor, walls and ceiling.
The curb weight of the van is 5297. 3148 front and 2149 rear.

The basic idea was to make it work/play capable. Remove work equipment/ tools, load pre-packed camping bin kits. Goal was to make the transition in under an hour.

I've got plenty of thoughts and plans drawn out just not a lot of time to throw at it. Ideas of a hard wall wet bathroom/ composting toilet, small modular kitchen sink. Lithium battery bank with dc-dc charger, solar on roof and auto switch inverter for transition to shore power when available. Remove rear roll up door and replace with composite panel and double door.
