so I was ready to fill the system and then the fan wouldn't come on.... oh good grief. If the heater/cooling fan doesn't come on, the a/c pump won't come on. It's not a fuse. So next time I'll figure that out

the above solution was a new resistor and a non-lit fuse (the fuse allowed just enough current through to fool my tester into think it was working... it wasn't)

and now, the turbo. To remind, it has maybe 5 psi of boost - where this very same turbo on my suburban is limited to 12 psi and would happily hit 20 psi if I let it eat (okay, eat the head gaskets from lifting the head).

when I first got this running, I had 12 psi, went an adjustable(ish) exhaust wastegate.
and have only gotten 5 psi. I switched back to the other regulator, I've tied the wastegate closed, and tied it open with the same result. So it was time to pull the turbo

and, outside of an exhaust leak, find nothing

other controller on it. tempted to buy a new one but given the gate open/gate closed test - I don't think that's the issue. Turbo spins freely, wastegate isn't broken (why I fully pulled it) - even tested it with the spring and it moved with resistance (no broken arm)

1/2 the reason I did this was redo the heat shield over the injectors and bypass line - so it's not a complete waste but I'm stumped

did a minor fix, the boost gauge needed a better fitting... took 2 stores to get this - whatever happened to the everything stores? even Home Depot has reduced their selection

So, the springs for the ash tray were garbage, why just replace the springs?

so some eyeballing happened

this should work

so the plan is a charge station that is actually covered. When open, phone will sit on a charge pad and above it will have the various ports to run other accessories
and this arrived... 7 boxes
I'm concerned that my shop won't be up by winter so it's time to work on plan b with car port(s) - I want the Blazer and the FJ40 at the house not my workshop.... and my wife could use covered parking...
