i've never ever had a zipper issue on my JB and i've had it about 4 years now.

they are very air tight if completely zipped up. So one thing is to unzip the doors about halfway. That helps a lot. But yes, my JB is extremely hard to close. I thought the newer ones have less stiff struts.

different than portsmouth. Portsmouth is almost completely primitive. When you get off the ferry there are a few cabins and a ranger cabin. There is one shower facility. Once you drive through that, you are on the beach and there is nothing else out there the entire island.
