    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Oh, and one other comment. The one nice thing about these tow rating wars is that they drive the manufacturers to up their payload specs. The truck has to be able to handle a 10% tongue weight and 300 lbs of passengers + the weight of the hitch. That means an F150 with a 14000 lb tow rating...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

What astounds me with the payload on the Tundra is that they do not have an HD truck that they might overlap with if they get to aggressive on the Tundra. With Ford, they could just run 7700 lbs GVWR like they used back in the 11-14 trucks, and crew cab Lariat's F150's would have 2200+ lbs of...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

I do agree with this. Tundra’s are just cheaper from the get go(or at least the were). A fully loaded tundra is under $60k msrp im pretty sure but thats a well equipped XLT f150. The F150 just gets 20%+ in discounts if you try. My lariat was $56k sticker i think and i got it for around 42k.

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

My GX has a torsen center diff with 4hi unlocked, 4lo unlocked, 4hi locked, and 4lo locked. Im 99% sure the LC 100’s and 200’s use this same setup as well as some 4Runners. The Sequoia has 2wd as well as all of the others. When ive wheeled my gx and never even locked the center diff since the...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Yes, it sucks ford has options [emoji23] But ford makes all that info easily accessible on their site. Go under specs on the f150 page and they have the GVWR and max payload as well as gcwr’s for every configuration available in two tables. They are the only mfg that makes it so easy to look...

Unless they are playing a lot of games with GVWR.

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

You dont even need FX4 to get a locker on an F150. You can just option the rear locker on any trim or configuration. XL regular cab 2x4 with the 3.3L V6? Sure, have a locker lol. Honestly though, if I had a choice, I would way rather have a torsen/truetrac. I have a locker in my F150 now and...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

That is, surprisingly, worse than I thought it might be. My pretty much loaded Lariat F150 supercrew long bed has 1560 lbs.

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Actually, you can just program the truck. Forscan can do it in about 5 minutes if you want to swap between 4Auto or regular 4x4 tcases. A few people have swapped the 4Auto tcases in. Which engine were you looking at? An XLT will obviously be lower than an XL in terms of payload, but a 2021 XL...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

The fact that there is no generator option in the Hybrid makes it pretty unappealing to me. I don’t drive enough for the mpg’s to matter but I do tow a travel trailer and mostly boondock. Having the generator built into the truck would be awesome.

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Still though. I have seen XLT Crew cab 4x4 hd payload door stickers at or above 2500 lbs. ive even seen some crew cab 4x4 without hdpp above 2000. One was an XL with STX package that I looked at at a dealer. I dont believe it can stay constantly on unless its very low power. At peak torque the...

Removing rear seats to increase payload capacity?

There is always the heavy duty payload package F150 if you dont want to move up to a 3/4 or 1 ton. An XLT crew cab 4x4 with HDPP can have a legit 2500+ lbs of payload and it comes with the frame, axle, springs, etc to deal with the added weight.

The new 7.3 - how is it

My understanding is that the Ford IDS(dealers tool) system can only set the tire size to whatever the factory Ford options are. So for a superduty it might be able to go up to a 35 because of the Tremor but that is it. Forscan can change the size to the exact millimeter if you want. At least on...

The new 7.3 - how is it

Try Forscan if you havent already. It should be able to change tire size. Tire size information is held in the BCM and the PCM gets its info from the BCM.

The new 7.3 - how is it

My MIL has a 7.3L in her Class C motorhome she bought last fall. Its an E450 chassis and the 7.3L is detuned compared to the Superduty. I think its 350hp/46x torque and it has the old 6 speed instead of the 10 speed. I drove it around Utah and Wyoming anywhere from 6500-9000’ of elevation. It...

    Ford Tremor Fighter...2022 Silverado ZR2

Problem is, it better not be more than $60k. Because for a little but more I would be in a lower trim Raptor or TRX before this.

    ZR2 vs Gladiator Sport S

The gladiator has the 3rd gen EcoDiesel vs the 2nd gen in the JGC. And yes the general consensus on the 2nd gen is that they suck. My buddy is a huge diesel guy, even has his own business building turbo upgrades for the Colorado Duramax, and he has had non-stop issues with his stock JGC ecod...

    New Bronco

The ecoboosts do not get terrible mileage. Especially the 2.7. The 3.5 isnt quite as good but still better than most V8’s except the GM’s, which are about even.
