Good stuff, and I like the tidy insert you made in the seat base to mount the switch. I have mine wired into that under seat box as well, and at least on mine some of the fuses aren't always on. I have them piggy backed onto my head lights and parking lights. Means I need to have the lights...
You can easily get a couple inches by getting re indexed keys for the front and blocks for the rear. These vans actually benefit from re indexed keys, or at least mine did. My control arms and drive shafts are pretty level now after doing it and before they were pointing slightly up. My van is...
Mine has this as well and I’ve been curious about doing the same thing. I’m not exactly sure what temp causes it to fire but it’s pretty cold. Seems to be low 30s. I’ll see if I can get a photo also or some other info.
I have a lot of time in an AWD as a well as my diesel van and I agree, if there was holy cow level noise coming from the engine bay then the doghouse must’ve been poorly fit. If it was an empty metal cargo van then yes, that can cause some noise resonance from the rear.
I don't have any experience with that specific kit from either but I've ordered components from both for and AWD 1500 van and for a Quigley 3500 van and the experience was positive both times with both outfits.
Door stays on the whole time, you don’t touch it. You’ll be shimming the slider track away from the outside of the van body. I cant remember how many washers I used but I started with fewer towards the front and added a little more as it went back. You’ll need to unbolt it from inside the van...
I have zero offset as well and had that same issue with my slider. You can actually shim your slider track by unbolting it from the inside and putting some rubber washers as needed on the outside between the slider and the van body and then bolt it back in. Pretty easy to do. My door opens...
I had an '05 6 liter for a number of years before my current rig. Great van for the most part but I did have to do some work to it over the years, no head studs though. I ran a mild, 40 hp I think, tune on it the whole time. I would recommend also looking into the stand pipes and dummy plugs...
This is a live conversation with many variables, but the GM 4x4 with independent front end is so much better On road than the Ford 4x4 with solid axle it’s not even close. Again, depends on the converter and upgrades etc. but I’ve had a Quigley in both with equally upgraded suspension and have...
The GM platform will ride better onroad all things being equal, and quiet a bit so. It will also ride better on rough dirt roads forest roads etc. Its generally accepted that the straight axle on. The Ford is better for articulation in tough, technical stuff offroad. I’ve owned both and would...
Packasport here in Oregon makes a really nice roof box out of fiberglass. They are very low profile Profile as well. Could be worth taking a look at.

I blew a fuse on a Yeti 400 unit a couple years ago after already owning it for a couple years and they took care of me at no charge. Their customer was service was great.
