Congrats on the new addition and looking forward to seeing what you do. I also have a large family so I'm excited to see the direction you go with this build. I use my van for a lot for both hauling and family trips so some sort of transformer set up would be cool to see. And of course any of...
Not that the difference it extremely pronounced, its fairly close, but I disagree. My father inlaw has a 2015 2500 LTZ Duramax and my father has a 2018 2500 GMC Denali and my van rides rides better than both of them according to me, and both of them. Again, its really close though and the...
Boulder Offroad does a solid axle front end conversion that I believe is Dana 60 based. They may sell parts and kits as well but I'm not sure. I do know they've been doing them for years.
Good work and a great looking van. Love seeing it out in the wild being used. How long could you smell the fumes from the liner on your cabinets after they were installed? Love the idea, just not sure about the off gassing.
Here are some shots I grabbed yesterday of mine. Hopefully my photography skills haven't rendered them totally useless and you can get an idea of what it looks like.
I have a Kargo Master Bushmaster safari rack on mine with Gamiviti rain guttern mounts. Actually I have two that I pieced together so its almost full length. Its aluminum and steel so relatively light and pretty well made. I've only had it on for a few months but so far so good and a good...
I used Raptor on the roof and hood of my E350 when I had it and it turned out great. A little practice on dialing in the texture is prudent but it’s totally doable.
Love the idea and looking forward to seeing where you go with it. Just an FYI, Aluminess does sell one that mounts to the factory bumper or rather to the frame behind the factory bumper. The top is secured at the door hinge though. Those are around $600 last time I looked.
I went to Nantucket for a few days one summer many years ago. I bet the fear of running into high dollar vehicles is a constant especially on some of those roads. Again, great score looking forward to seeing how it developes.
Nice! I’m very interested to see how those work out. I want to go to a 285 at some point but I’ll need to go up a tiny bit more I believe. Does yours have a solid front axle or the 3 inch lift from Quigley? Hard to tell the setup from the photo. Looks like it may be of a vintage where they...
