Thanks! I'm excited to share our adventures and mods. Hopefully it will help out others with the same goal.
As for MetalTech, I couldn't agree with you more. They are a great company!
Shortly after the wheels were installed, Jane got to accompany MetalTech for a photo shoot out in Christmas Valley, Oregon. Unfortunately, my wife and I couldn’t join, but we got some great pictures out if the deal.
I couldn’t have been happier with the way Jane was performing. The suspension is just flat incredible! We knew that we needed to get Jane armored up, but the bank account needed to recoup. It was around that time that Mark at MetalTech asked if he could use Jane to test fit some new products...
It took about a year of multiple trips, but we finally had an idea on how we wanted the modifications to look. The first thing we wanted to do was lift Jane. To be honest, I didn’t mind the ride height, but the super soft stock springs and shock valving sucked! After weighing the options, I...
Now it was time to start doing some small adventures to see what other modifications we wanted to do. I would strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of building a rig to use it before modifying! There were a few camping trips here and there, but our first big trip was taking our quads out...

I have Icon stage 2 on my 5th Gen and absolutely LOVE the way it rides and handles. IMO it was worth every cent. Right now I'm driving a GX470 running IronMan suspension and it is a night and day difference. My SIL has a TRD Pro and mine rides so much better it's ridiculous. Yes, it is...
That is kinda what I was thinking. It seems a handheld would be more durable and reliable. I also think it would be easier to use. I just want to make sure I'm not out of like on that thinking.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm having a lot of people telling me to get a IP68 Android phone and use Giai GPS. I've been trying to research that out and it seems a lot more confusing than just running a handheld GPS. What do you guys think?
First off, I am a GPS noob. I have no idea what I'm doing, so I need something that is easy and quick to use. I will be using it in my wheeler, on my quad, and in my pack. I want topo maps and POI like old mines and stuff. I also need it to show roads (even old ones) and be able to add my...
Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. We have been busy setting up Ben's new home.
However, I did take him to DEQ yesterday to get new tags. He passed with flying colors and is legal for another two years.
