Well, I have been using photobucket since 2005 and they decided to start charging for 3rd party hosting... I guess it is a blessing that nobody actually likes this thread! Here is a link to the new photo album. All the pics are there and mostly in the correct order...

What is the order in which you'd build your Truck or Ute?

Sliders (my trials are usually really tight) and good tires, then go use it. After a trip or two you will start to see what needs to be adjusted.

Help me spec out a new 2017 Tacoma

You never "need" it. But I like having the option of locking the diff and driving out or pulling cable. I could care less about the crawl control but the TRD OR package is less expensive than an aftermarket ARB diff and set-up. I would get an auto (I only have 2 feet to wheel with) and I...

Help me spec out a new 2017 Tacoma

Personally, I'm looking at the TRD Off-Road.

The million mile tundra tear down

Nope: "A larger Tundra was introduced at the February 2006 Chicago Auto Show. It used styling cues from the Toyota Tacoma along with some cues from the Toyota FTX concept truck (also designed by Craig Kember in 2003). The truck featured towing capacity of up to 10,000 lb, and a payload capacity...

Got the wheels all painted up. The rock rings didn't come out quite as well as I hoped, but they are going to get beat up anyway. LOL! Now I just need to mount the tires up...

Quick update: Since buying Ben, I knew that the Iroks were going to have to go. It is a bit sad because I love the way Iroks perform in our PNW terrain, but I needed something that had better road manners. I still have my beadlocks from my previous trucks, so I figured I would put a nice...

Thank you! I miss having the 100-Series as my daily, but I guess that means I just need to drive the Runner more! :) I will keep an eye out for you.

What direction does your RTT open and why?

I used to have my tent open up to the driver side for a few different reasons. My new tent will open to the passenger side, mainly so I can open it when street parked.

I got some work done on the truck! Last Saturday, I replaced the driver side rear bump stop. It had one of those stick on ones that I lost at some point. I ended up welding a nut onto the metal pad and bolting on a replacement. I also started working on storage and usability. Trying to...

Not much of an update, but Ben is conquering the Portland "snow storm" and got me to work.
