    LR4 spare tire options

That may have merit from the 'non permanent' solution angle which is rather desirable for many. Could certainly be useful for someone that wants the tire back there for trips but doesn't want it back there day to day as it detracts from the ease of use of the superb tailgate (i.e. why I don't...

    LR3 cracked dashboard thread

there's a guy starting to market a vinyl cover on the Discovery 3 & 4 facebook group (I think that's the group, I am in so many I lose track).

    Roofnest Group Buy?

Interesting. The Sparrow X is intriguing both b/c of the capability to put stuff up top (assume it has to come off before the tent is opened?) as well as its footprint being the smallest of the hardshell tents that I've seen in my research.

    LR3/LR4 trip toolkit - what's in yours?

I have been fortunate in that I haven't seen huge repairs on the trail thus far, but I have applied the same philosophy I did to my D1 tool kit to the 3; i.e. if I do a repair or a maint item I could reasonably expect to do on a trail or in a parking lot then the necessary tools stay in the kit...

    LR3 cracked dashboard thread

Mine has cracked nicely around the airbag; in hot weather it expands and is barely noticeable. Cold; well-the opposite. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I want an LR4 and I have a question

It absolutely is an amazing vehicle when taken as a whole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    LR4 transfer case

Chiming in with a tangent but since we seem to get a fair amount of new to the brand or new to the RRS/3/4 platform owners here it is worth noting that a big part of shifting to that platform is noting how different the wheeling style is-i.e. what you are alluding to about turning the dial to...

    I want an LR4 and I have a question

Gotcha. I assume you are running TT F/R in something like a D1? (I have a D1 with a TT rear, 4 pin up front-that likewise I installed myself). What you may well find, assuming you haven't spent much time wheeling the 3/4 series Discos, is that these will behave differently than a lighter...

    LR4 spare tire options

I have just the carrier and did so intentionally b/c these trucks are heavy enough-and I don't tend to slam her rear into things all that much. Haven't regretted that choice, yet. r- Ray

Love the dixon-bate! This truck soooo needs 245/75/16 KM2s!

    I want an LR4 and I have a question

Aside from the joy of hunt, I'd ask if there is a significant requirement to have the locking rear dif (and if there is such a significant requirement, why not just get a good truck with the other attributes that you want and add an ARB?). A long way of saying the vast majority of drivers, in...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

A few final shots just b/c... Wife got me this for Xmas. Could easily read 13mm of course, but the point is the same-a great shirt to wrench in: This pretty much sums it up, we went for a run on Xmas after opening presents and before dinner. It was ~ -20...thus the eyelashes and such got some...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Xmas '17; more of the story Home, more/less recovered, so figured I'd add some content, more pics, and some thoughts from the trip. Most of the stuff thus far was posted off my phone as it happened. Here's 'the rest of the story' (or something like it). In terms of substance about the truck...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

I will hit you up if we get back up there this year in the truck for sure-you are a bit away from where the wife grew up but that's a very relative thing up there it would seem. (everywhere is a bit away from most places). I was rather sad that it was too early in the freeze to drive across...

    LR4 spare tire options

Very nice setup. I'm biased but this is more/less the same rationale I employ with my swing away. Day in-day out, it isn't necessary and actually detracts from the vehicle. When there is a specific reason to move the tire to the back, easy enough to incorporate as part of the prep. As far as...

Where are you up there? We will be back, this summer for sure but unclear if we are driving or flying up. I love it up there but that cold is brutal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Glad you found the pics, I thought I had some from when I added them on but that is some time ago. On this end the truck wrapped up a week long odyssey to/fm N WI today. Having done the drive in the summer in my D1; I have to say she performed amazingly well and really proved her worth...

My disco makes me want to dance

I'm running the same battery; in a perfect world maybe I wouldn't have gotten it but I opted to change it right before the trip I'm on bc the old one was over 3yrs old. It's held up well during protracted below zero temps-and is easy enough to replace at any Autozone, so I'm calling it a win...
