I think you can get the 5.7 in the reg cab short bed. The red one in the pic above I think has the 5.7 (red V8 badge). Maybe they stopped offering it?

I just came across this thread. Very nice, to say the least. One question though, and maybe I missed this but, is the LC AWD case capable of handling 500HP/550lb-ft? I see the LC has up to 479lb-ft stock with a diesel, but just wondering none the less.

Actually, the 07-current regualr cab Tundras have a pretty big space behind the front seats. Check a few on the used car sites and you will see what I mean. It's certainly not enough to use for large bulky items, but there's enough there to be useful. Like this one...there appears to be a pretty...

Haha thanks, I agree! And nice Tundra (love the shocks)! My wife actually found my T for me when we were looking for a truck. Awesome wife or what? It needed work (and still does a bit), but my father-in-law is a Toyo master tech. It will soon be at 100% with a new clutch and a few T-case seals...
