Fully charged, no, but two 45 minute daily sessions at highway speed (said to be 14.2 to 14.9 volts with I assume a fairly sizable alternator) should be sufficient to get a battery above 50% (e.g. 12.2V) charged after 3 days.
I guess the group size 48 and 49 are slow movers because it sounds like they sit around a while and it seems no one bothers to charge their batteries sitting in stock for long periods.
I run Old Man Emu CS047R rear leafs with one extra D29XL leaf added in each pack. So my rear packs are 4 main full length leafs, 2 intermediate length and 2 super thick overloads. Couldn't tell you exactly the spring rate but it's an upper middle-to-heavy weight pack and I'd guess about 240...
I had my brakes fade pretty bad once pulling a U-Haul on the back side of Vail Pass. I don't normally tow anything, don't have a trailer and never really have. But I do know how to drive in the mountains. The brakes I think on my truck are sufficient for me, not pushing the weigh, don't rally...
Bingo. Some 2008 and older Tacomas retained the vacuum booster on the master cylinder like older trucks and those that do, such as mine, the ABS is a stand-alone device on the right side of the engine bay.
There's some space in front of the ABS actuator behind the air intake where with a...
Here's a follow-up post from the San Miguel County Sheriff. Not a great deal of detail but not a particularly steep or exposed section of trail and below tree line as well. All we can do is speculate without first hand from the couple but *probably* distracted and dropped a wheel or something...
No one has called my stereotyping for the fact that the couple came from Montrose, Colorado, and were probably on their several dozenth trip in the San Juans... The spot they rolled is about one of the last places I would expect it happening, too.
I personally don't strongly disagree with your point about off highway licensing with respect to competency. However the problem is how is this determined and more it's not so much being competent but being aware, responsible and level headed. It's my experience that a fair amount of this is...
I wouldn't trust the cigarette lighter meter to make a determination but I wouldn't have any real reason to disbelieve a measurement at the battery with any Fluke. But any meter can be broken or out of calibration. You can do a quick check with a brand new 9V battery to check it. Those should...
My aux Odyssey died mid-trip, at the Dollhouse in the Maze back in April actually. It was a matter of keeping things together with bailing wire and duct tape for a couple of days on one battery. It's a pain but it's why one builds redundancy in the system. What's the saying, two is one, one...
You could just use a plain panel mount connector.
Also, for free hanging connectors Amphenol (and maybe others) make a hood to convert the standard (e.g. cheap) panel-mounted SO239 into an inline with the back side protected.
It'll look like this when made up. This appears to be an N...
Yeah, in this case there's really no way around it for their tool. They do have Linux software although I have not personally tried it. I think it just uses WINE, though.
If I was buying one now it might something like a pocketVNA, which also has Linux and Mac software.

There are indeed many ways around it. A free-hanging connector with a grommet through the bulkhead or a coax-terminated bulkhead would save at least one connector.
What you're after is a bulkhead connector. There's many different connectors out there and the one most U.S. hams use is the SO239/PL259. You could use a SO239 bulkhead, terminal the antenna with a PL259 connector and make a dual PL259 patch cable for inside.
It's not a zero impact to the...
Echolink is for linking repeaters over the Internet. It's the back haul between them. The stations talking on the air are just using analog FM in/out of the repeater and other than the repeater being linked over the Internet it won't sound any different than a local conversation. Any radio...
I try not to be overweight so can't answer your question. I'm sitting maybe 100 lbs under GVWR normally loaded. I have a WilderNest, simple All-Pro bumper (no swing out or anything, 235/85R16 BFG AT KO2 spare is still under the bed), just a front IFS skid, nothing under the belly, ARB with...
It couldn't know but could be told the configuration which might be useful when you add CANbus (like OBD2 maybe) to the BMS? Not sure it would do much without a controller for the load and charger, too. Might let the bank be semi-aware and balance itself without intervention.
FWIW, ran VHF and UHF sweeps across my standard Larsen NMO2/70B. Claimed specs are 144-148 with 3.8 dBi and 440-450 with 5.2 dBi. I have my coax terminated with a PL259 so some of the artifacts on UHF are probably due to that.
Actually looks like it would be ideal for 2m ham and GMRS to be...
