Doesn't the DC DC charger prevent the batteries from accepting too much charge and overloading the alternator and also keeps the charge voltage in the acceptable range?

Interesting idea. I do think softer suspension is the best move for the sake of all your gear as mentioned above. But thinking out loud, is look for some hifi sub speaker isolation feet to glue to your cooler and fridge. They make them out of silicone blobs. They work well.

My main hesitation for these more RV centric rigs. That big butt is a problem on anything other than forest roads.
