Alone with my thoughts...SE Utah Solo in December

As the area had been excavated, it was nearly completely devoid of all artifacts. I did, however find some corn cobs in one set of ruins: Scrambling around, crunching snow as I went, I found a lone piece of corrugated being guarded by lichens:

Alone with my thoughts...SE Utah Solo in December

Following the tracks out the rim of the canyon, I spotted some ruins across the way and a tower at the head of the canyon: Climbing down the the ruins (and finding more than a plethora along the way) I came across some various petroglyph panels, as well as some markers from past excavations:

Alone with my thoughts...SE Utah Solo in December

After the expectations of Christmas had come to a close, I decided to take a solo trip to SE Utah to 'reboot' my mind. It would be an understatement say I had the place to myself.... I made a quick stopover in Moab as I had to get out and do a little hike. I found the obscure dirt road and...

    2004 V8 4Runner cracked exhaust manifold

That sounds fair. Good job getting it worked out. I'd love to see where it cracks specifically on a manifold that has been removed.

    Kermit Chair

I've used mine all over Utah's backcountry...I love them. We plan to get each of my children their own once they turn 8 or so. I fully expect them to be the last camp chairs we will ever buy.

Tires - how aggressive do I need to go?

The Michelin LTX AT2 is my #2 choice in LT tire. I love them. I had a set of the old LTX AT's on a Toyota pickup that wore amazingly well, and worked as well as any other AT tire I have used.

    2004 V8 4Runner cracked exhaust manifold

My bet is they will cover at least some of it, if not all. Good luck, and please keep us all posted on the outcome!

    2004 V8 4Runner cracked exhaust manifold

Mine has the tick as well, just turned over 90k. I personally don't think it is that big of an issue until it gets much worse than it is. I had a Nissan Pathfinder that still has a leak (same situation) and now my in-laws drive it, and it hasn't ever been replaced in over 5 years. I'm...

Found 2006 Tundra with 17k miles

With a clean vehicle and title, that low of miles might be worth the full kbb value in my book. If it were a 1996 instead of a 2006, perhaps some issues, but not for a relatively new vehicle. Only my opinion, and we all know what opinions are like...

    Island in the Sky - White Rim Road - Nov. 8 - 13th, 2011

Can't go wrong with the White Rim. Off season is the best...you get the place to yourself (other than the kangaroo rats)

FS: 1985’ Toyota Land Cruiser with ARB Rack - Utah

I love this truck Nic-I know you saw my drooling over it last time I was at your place. Throw an OME lift and a set of 31's and you're done. If I didn't just buy a truck this would be sold. Best of luck with the sale.

Great photos, I love it down there. There are other things in that canyon system as well. Is the fence at the Great Gallery not there anymore?

Utah - Comb Wash, Bluff, Edge of the Cedars Museum

I have traveled to various places in Mexico, Honduras, the Cayman Islands, and other amazing locales during the past year, but this knife was by far the most intriguing experience I have had. I imagined the owner living in this land, making a life for themselves, feeling the desert heat, the...
