You are doing the two person pump-hold-bleed method, right?

Noticed Strange Sound From Gas Tank At Startup

Updating this.......I replaced the fuel lines on my sending unit (described on another thread) a couple months ago and haven’t heard this strange sound since then. I went from rubber lines with hose clamps to plastic lines using compression fittings. I have no idea why this stopped the sound. I...

Unless the lines to the rear were empty of fluid, might take some pumping to get fluid back there.....

    01 montero limited brake question

I’ve never heard of this.....the only time clamping can cause damage is if your rear caliper has the e-brake built in to it, in which case you are supposed to use a tool to screw the piston back into the caliper. You can still use a clamp though just a tiny bit to help get the caliper off the...

    01 montero limited brake question

I’m not familiar with an HBB system but I do know that on non-HBB systems (vacuum based) you can at least bleed them with basic foot pressure on the pedal. If the vacuum assist fails you still have brakes they’re just super inefficient and hard to use. I’d imagine HBB is the same idea, it’s an...

    01 montero limited brake question

Are you telling us that if you put pressure on the pedal and have someone crack a bleeder on a rear caliper, nothing happens?

HELP. I am stuck with a monty on jackstands.

I’m pretty sure ball joints can be done without removing the hub. You may need to pop the tie rod loose to be able to move the knuckle around enough but I think it is possible.

Not So Modest 2000 (Gen 2.5) Montero Build

I made a bike rack that fits in that location, it works great. I like the flexibility the receiver gives you. Nice work.

If the speaker ohms aren’t matched to the head unit you are probably tripping some type of thermal protection.

Looking for members with Gen 2 (3.5) and Gen 2.5 (3.5) in the DFW area

I think interest on this topic is low because the work and cost to go turbo is high, and Mitsubishi made the trucks do their job fine without it. Sure I’d love to have more power, but my time and money is spent on maintenance and improvements in other areas. I know that a company in Australia...

Strength of Gen 3 stock spare tire mount

Where are all you people with jerry cans going anyway? What trails require an extra 5 gallons of gas to make it out? The only place I’ve ever been with my truck where it was possibly a thought was Utah, and that jerry can spot would have been carrying a water jug not gasoline!

I really like this. Last big cross country trip I did I used a bike rack that I made for my spare tire carrier to lash gear to. Yours is far better. ADD should crank a few of these out since it looks like a quick bolt-on solution.
