Ripped awning straps on Rhino Rack batwing

Thanks to @BritKLR I was able to fix the retaining straps on the BatWing. There was not enough Velcro strap to use so I added a buckle and works just fine.

Ripped awning straps on Rhino Rack batwing

Thanks I'll try that. I'm so surprised the webbing disintegrated under the cover . I do have an email and phone call into Rhino Rack. I'm curious what they will do or abandon their product .

Ripped awning straps on Rhino Rack batwing

Quick Clot For First Aid Kit?

Tampons are for bleeding vaginas. For a trauma kit it is best to buy a quality one. If the kit is less than $100.00 it is junk.

The rear fender is a good place to mount a propane tank. I also added a ammo can for all the propane hoses and a couple of green propane cans .

I had a TM for a while. I suggest you get a HD rivet gun and some HD "peel" rivets. A cordless drill with 3/8th bits. I usually would have to replace several rivets after a days driving.

Can you make a electric travel cooler out of a Mermite food container?

That system is a power hog and will only cool about 40 degrees lower than ambient temps. Not very efficient, especially in hot weather .

Anyone ditched a Max Coupler in favor of a pintle?

Using a pintle and ring allows for hooking up at any angle, like 90 degrees.

2022 Overland Expo West recommendations for first time attendee

If you see something you like/want buy it before someone else does. A minute's hesitation will cost you the item. From my experience, there are very few real "bargains" on Sunday.
