Kurt's right -- that's not a Tacoma bullbar for any generation of the truck. It does kinda look like a non-winch 80-series bar -- that would be my guess. Kinda like an XJ Cherokee as well.

Here's one of my shots of the Audi R18 TDI at the Road Atlanta Petit LeMans in October 2011. The transition through sunset in the ten-hour race led to some great light.

I've run yellow fogs (Hella 500) for years on my XJ, and I've used from time to time on various cars a set of vintage Norma H4 jaune bulbs I picked up in France in 1984. I like the yellow fogs but I'm not sure anything will cut through dust. I used to get pulled over all the time with yellow...
There was a pretty good discussion on exactly this subject about a year or two ago -- input from a number of people worth hunting down if you can find it.

Here's a tire-shaped tank. Seems to be intended for diesel/vegetable oil fuels, although the site notes (per Google translate, "All fuel tanks are also gasoline, E85 ethanol and similar fuels suitable". It oughta work with water were one so inclined. See...
Saw a green-with-white-roof Defender 130 HCPU with tan canvas bed cover/hoopset hood headed eastbound on I-24 near Fort Campbell at the KY/TN state line yesterday. It was the only load on a flatbed trailer. Somebody getting a new toy?

I'd say the Ford Model T has to be on the candidate list. In a pre-interstate, largely unpaved US it contributed more to vehicle-based overland travel than probably any other.
As another data point, Major Ralph Bagnold used specially-modified early Fords (Model A IIRC) in his African desert...
Yup, those have been around for many decades. A staple of the LL Bean catalog in the sixties and early seventies when I was a kid. And they weren't new then. Some tools don't go out of style.
The lid fits over with a lip and has a little bit of self locking, but no gasket. They're not an alternative to a Zarges box, but a Tough Box is probably better than an Action Packer in that sense (and I have all three). It would be OK left out in a storm as long as the wind wasn't driving the...
These Tough Box totes are good for a plastic storage box. Reasonably strong and sufficiently stiff to carry heavy things. Made in USA. The top fits well enough, although not hinged or latched and not waterproof. I have a couple and can recommend them if you're in the market for this kind of...
