I run 315/70-17 (also marked 35x12.5-17) on side wall cooper st/maxx tires on AEV 18x8.5 rims and Falken 255/80-17 AT3W on stock 17x7.5-17 rims and have switch back and forth often and reset speedo each time with a procal and my odometer is spot on with each tire. There is at least 16lbs pounds...
when I called Warn to complain after mine showed up with a made in china on the box Warn told me that the original plan was to assemble them in Oregon but that did not ever actually happen and that they were imported. This was some time around 2013 I don't remember exact date. Not saying you...
I will argue that. i have one of the first vr10000 winches and it says made in China on it. Warn initially said they were going to be assembled in the USA but i don't believe that ever happened.
I missed what vehicle you have but I have 4 door wrangler and my e rated Falken in 255/80-17 are smooth and I do a lot of rough washboard roads. My vehicle empty weighs 5400lbs and i run 28-30 psi on the road and get perfect wear and tires run cool.
I run two sets of tires one set of 315/70-17 ie 35/12.5 and one set of 255/80-17 ie 33/10-17. My 255/80-17 are Falken at3w's and they are an awesome tire for DD and for mild off-roading but when I head to Moab or do tougher trails I slap on the 35" cooper ST Maxx's. If for some reason I could...
I have run 4 sets of AEV rims 2 sets of Saltas, 1 set each of Savgres and Pintlers. Funny thing is AEV used to say hub centric was the end all and then at some point the pintlers went away from being hub centric and then it was no longer that important. the funny thing is AEV did not even now...
The frame on the offroad package is exactly the same as the standard package. The only difference is the axle and the tires. The torsion axle on the offroad package has a bit higher gvwr and is at a different degree. Frame is light weight. not sure of the actual thickness as i sold mine but...
just another update and lots more winter driving experience. Still showing no signs of wear which is uncanny because they stick like glue on ice. Winter in Montana throws a lot at you and these are continuing to impress me.
have you priced OEM jeep wrangler wheels? luckily the market is saturated with takeoffs. AEV rims are equal to OEM and quite a bit cheaper if comparing to new OEM's. Heck mopar even rebrands the AEV pintler and Savgres and lists for more.
Check out warn vr series. Made in china but still has excellent warn support and i have used one since they first came out and has always worked. i would be more worried about one that rarely gets used as on many of the cheaper ones the contactors and solenoids are not sealed very well so water...
