Baker is a worthy pilgrimage for anyone. Probably my favorite resort in the US. AWESOME terrain and a laid back place. One of the better parking lots to camp in, too. Amazing spot up there with no development besides the resort base lodges.
This thing needs to make a PNW ski tour and I’d put the Mt. Bachelor, and Mt. Baker Parking lots on your list if they aren’t already! Stop at Meadows on Hood in between.
Free is the best price! My old one had hinge issues and I thought about trying to make it hinge from the front and latch at the rear. They really are just overpriced plastic tubs. Simple to mod if needed.
How do you open the Thule box up there with both latches? I had a slightly newer one with just one central lock/latch. Recently swapped it for a newer one with just one lock/latch and a super quick cam/handle style clamp for easy on/off when we don’t need it.
Ha, I thought it was some kind of hybrid thing; like just lock the door & keep the windows blacked out while parked on a random street in a neighborhood.
My 1997 Horton minimod (short for mini module, or sometimes called a lunchbox) was approx. 84" wide, 145" long, & interior height 64". Drawings from the original build sheet:
I scored a gutted Chinook off OfferUp awhile back. The ad seemed like a scam, the seller initially seemed sketchy, and I wondered what I was getting into scheduling a meet, but hey, it worked out in the end! Gotta use all the channels to find the good stuff.
This would make an awesome moto hauler/garage...
I'm not sure what company (or companies) made the ERVs. I know the Red Cross is upgrading the fleet with a newer design. These things are still cool. If only I had a bigger driveway...
I always liked these ERVs. Built like an ambo, but box truck sized and already mostly empty inside.

Hmm, maybe it was previously a high top wheel chair van with a lowered floor, or some kind of special equipment was installed back there? OR, it was a work truck where they really beat up the back? Weird.
