CO2 and CO (carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are VASTLY different where toxicity is concerned. Carbon dioxide causes discomfort at levels many times higher than carbon monoxide causes death.
Carbon monoxide at extremely low levels binds to hemoglobin in the blood to stop it from transferring...
1. Yes, the canoe can be restored just about as easily as basinranger noted. I used to spend a lot of time on the Miramichi River in New Brunswick. Seemed like a lot of the camps on the river had well-loved, and well-restored, vintage canoes out by the water in the summertime.
2. By all...
Kinda tough choice. I like both, although the search within thread option is a bit cumbersome to find details of interest in a long unified build thread.
Possibly some combination of both, with highlights and regular photo updates in the ongoing vehicle thread, with more details in a specific...
Very interesting DVDs, and a super deal from a fellow ExPo'er to give us the opportunity. Great packaging, perfect communication. Many thanks, timmer2008.
If this were eBay, I'd be posting four-star feedback for ya. As it is, I'll say thanks here.

I loved Kodachrome. Shot a lot of Ektachrome, too, but the warmth of Kodachrome was my favorite. 40 years on, the old slides are still preferable to what I'm getting now. Kodak made a great product. I'd love to have a "Kodachrome" setting on my digital camera today!
In front of my tent I use a doormat made from strips of cut-up tires strung together with wire. These used to be quite common, but aren't seen so much anymore (at least by me).
This mat has the advantages of (1) allowing stuff to fall through it, so material like sand is not tracked into the...
I've used POR-15 for years, and love it. (I'll continue to use it on the restoration of my 1962 Triumph TR3B). POR-15 is a moisture-curing isocyanate-based coating that bonds incredibly strongly to whatever it's applied to, and is a tough, impervious moisture (and probably oxygen) barrier. I...
I had the frame of my 2001 Tacoma Double Cab 4WD TRD treated with corrosion-preventative compound inside and out in early July 2010 as part of the Toyota Limited Service Campaign LSC 90D program. I thought details about the program and photos before and after the treatment might be interesting...
Stolen bicycles suck. Sorry to hear about your theft.
I use a strong lock, and almost never leave the bike out of sight unless it's in a secure area -- like inside the gate at my office building.
Abus in Germany make some great bike locks. I use one of the ones with a pretty high security...
I have a 1962 Triumph TR-3B, so I know and love British -- don't get me wrong here!
But the 1980 Toyota Pickup my Dad bought new and drove off the lot, and which I finally sold on to a guy in the neighborhood who kept after me to sell it to him, never made a trip back to the dealer in 29 years...
I'm at least as concerned about your spring-shock clearance issues as I am about the load capacity. The interference certainly doesn't seem right, and it's the first I've heard of this.
Anyone else have any observations or comments on this part of the problem?
I haven't done it yet, but an OME upgrade is on the list for my 2001 Tacoma 4WD DC. I've had OME on my XJ Cherokee for 10+ years and I've been delighted. Transformed the handling of the vehicle. Ride quality not harsh at all (for an XJ).

I towed my Triumph TR3 on a double-axle trailer from OH to MO (c 500 miles) behind my 2001 Tacoma DC 4WD SR5 TRD last summer. Handled like a champ. Braking a little bit longer than normal, but nothing special. Mileage a little *better* than normal -- probably a little lower speed.
Triumph...
Bikes for TALL riders
Yes, Cakalak Han, my 69 cm Alex Singer is a tall bike. Since I'm six foot six (c 200 cm), I don't often find a bicycle on the store shelves that fits me. I'm about 107 cm from top of saddle to downturned pedal.
Here's an image of my 5 year old 68 cm Waterford showing...
