I can't remember if I'd shared this with you before, but ambo trailers are always cool.

Totally true. It took me awhile to figure out the right sequence of moves to rotate/twist/slide the ambo 215amp alternator out of the van engine bay. Same thing on a truck is just lift straight up/out! Diesel vans are cool, but that engine is so shoehorned in there.
Do you usually have the captains chairs out and kids seats on the back row? Seems kinda nice to have them far enough back so they’re not kicking the seat back!
This seems like the grandpa of the Ford Transit Connect? Would make a cool camper, haven't seen one of these before.
**I read up on these a little and it seems they've got a Dodge Caravan drivetrain, they're FWD, fiberglass front hood & aluminum rear box, torsion bar rear suspension. Only made...
Nice rig, I keep looking for one. I hadn't seen the Cadillac front end treatment. Quite the daily driver...
Did you see the recent thread on removing all the ground effects? I'm a fan of the look...
You sure about that? All I can find is that UPS is switching to natural gas. The UPS trucks here in Portland are starting to switch to CNG and even electric. Kind of crazy seeing a big UPS truck go silently by, with no diesel clatter. Well, they do have this beep sound they make to let you know...
Seems like a question that’s been around and around with no clear answer.
I had a 7.3 ambo and now I’ve got a v10 chinook. I like how much quieter the v10 is. Smells less too. I’m not towing or anything, and I use the vehicle infrequently so mpg isn’t an issue when compared to the premiums 7.3...
That simpler, roof-top flag graphic would look great on the sides, with the stars towards the front and the stripes trailing to the back. Make the whole thing out of colored retro-reflective vinyl and really light up the night...!
Weird, it looks like it just sold, and yeah, that link got funky. Guess ebay doesn't like linking to completed listings?
Here's a screen grab of the completed listing, seller looks legit and it's not a scam:
Wow, there's a whole lot going on with that graphic. I dig the stars & stripes everywhere, but the tombstone on the side is a little creepy for an ambulance, and all the war machines might trigger some vets PTSD as he's getting wheeled into the box. Wonder what's on the back?!
Fly to Vegas, Baby! and buy this $10k Chinook with a 7.3 needing some interior work, and obviously a 4wd conversion! One of these w/ a pristine interior but needing a new motor sold for the same. Value seems real good for a #vanlife build out.
I haven't seen many 7.3 Chinooks, I think it was a...
I’ve got a gutted fiberglass Chinook camper that I need to build out. Keeping it simple but adding some cabinets and partitions. The floor is wood, and there is wood blocking glassed into the wall of the shell in spots. I’ve thought of also using some kind of construction/marine/auto body...
That’s pretty cool. What would the original use for that be? Almost looks like one of those Air Force vans with the box on the back for working on planes.
Looks a little rusty in the doors, wonder where it was used for 18 years and 15k miles?
So I’m guessing your e350 that was spinning both rear tires was single rear wheel? The Chinooks are dually, so that’s a lot more traction. How does a dually e350 do in snow/mud with the LS rear axle?
