I see that there are 2 new Ekko copycats this year. The Jayco Granite Ridge and Entegra Condor both have the same basic layout and it looks like these all have MSRP around $200,000 and appear to be selling with the usual RV discount of about 25%...
OEV was talking about putting a 12' box on an E350 with Quigley 4x4, but I haven't heard much about it lately. That would have been just a bit over 20'. Sounded pretty interesting to me.
One thing I noticed from their website is that they are made near Elkhart IN. Looks like they used to provide rebuilds on large Class A and custom stuff, but I have no idea what the interiors looked like.
Just wondered if anyone was able to look at these at the Expo East show. I just happened to get a glimpse of one in a Youtube video from the show.

I could see that also, but with it on a truck chassis I would think that a sound/temp barrier between the cab and camper might cut that down quite a bit. We test drove the Rossmonster Baja and they have a zip in barrier that works quite well to cut the noise.
I guess if those cabinets keep the weight down I could live with them. Would love to see an actual CAT scale ticket to see what one of them weighs. I think I would still use the F350 instead of the F250. Maybe they had that chassis sitting around.
I was hoping the StoryTeller adventure truck would have been about the size of the 27North Rexrover, but seems like everyone wants to jump into building the ER sized vehicles.
Since all these van companies basically copied the early Sportsmobiles I thought this would be OK to put here.
Looking at the 2024 StoryTeller products it appears they are dropping the Transit option. Whether due to low sales or just simplifying their production, who knows...
This link says it is a "Sneak Preview", so no idea when it will be out, but it looks like it may have a bit better ground clearance and better tires. Unless one of the "overland explorer" companies comes up with something better, this might be my best option. Looks like it may be a foot longer...
I have tried to like their vans, but the interior doesn't impress me. Contacting the company with questions is also a bit disappointing. Not sure the dealer network for StoryTeller really adds much either. And their marketing department with crazy ads looks like a promo for Burning Man.

Just happened to notice that Winnebago may be getting ready to do the Ekko on the Sprinter chassis:

Yes, the Liquid Spring seems interesting, but I wonder what the life expectancy of it is. Looking at it during the Expo Mtn West show it seems like there are a few possible fail points and where do you go to get them fixed? If you stick with Ford parts they are pretty easy to find. They were...

Speaking of the Pre Roamed ER page, there is now one of the used HDs listed for, wait for it,,,,,, $1.85 million.

It's still a lot of money, but I remember buying my first Z28 Camaro new in 1969 for about $4,000 or so. I am amazed when I go to boat shows in Florida and see center console sport fishing boats selling for about the same price as an EarthRoamer and they don't even have a place to sleep.
I use the ones with the big spring nut inside the rack and the threaded bolt like the Let's Go Aero mentioned above. Just crank the bolt down tight and there is no wiggle at least from the connection to the hitch. The bike rack itself can still wobble, but that's another issue.
