Good read. Anza Borrego is one of favorite places to play & relax. My first experience with humming bird moths was in Sheep Canyon, what a bizarre insect! 15 years ago on Christmas day, I rolled in solo to the rock cabin near Turkey Tracks only to bump into another lonely traveler who was in the...
Ah, how true.
Reminds me of a talk show that ******** Cavet used to host called "Meeting of the minds" where he used to bring in actors to play different historical figures. I am sure a dialog between Ben & Theo would have been interesting.
Bill,
Well put. A quote from Theodore Roosevelt comes to mind:
"It's not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or when the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust...
Hoses connect the tanks to the mixer valve. It does hold heat overnight. A quick disconnect hose extension is available.
Glad you like. We think it's sexy. It's been a team effort between Gabe & I. Expect to see more cool stuff from us in the future.
AT/OJ Open House! October 9th, 2010.
You're invited to our open house event at the AT & Overland Journal HQ. This one promises to be one of the most interesting to date. As per usual, there will be a lot of interesting like minded adventurers in attendance and the cool vehicles that take...
Some sewing issues have prevented us from showing on the J8 at Hollister. :( We fully expect them to be resolved in time for the AT/OJ open house on Oct 9th. :)
On board hot water & shower
An Expedition J8/JK would not be complete without a water system.
This Stage 2 system offers water storage and hot water. A 13.2 gallon collapsible water tank is concealed underneath the Stage 2 storage compartment with an external top fill point. Water is fed...
Very elegant
Nicely done. I like the little touches such as the sliding top that becomes a table and the curtains on the forward window. It's starting to look pretty darn cozy!
Not a good application. At 120VAC/300-1800 watt consumption, even the large 245 amp battery would be taxed. 120VAC appliances are not appropriate in a 12VDC environment. It is a good size however, again, the controls are in the wrong place to work.
Coleman stove controls and propane inlets are in the wrong place to work, that is why we had a custom stove built. No way around it because of the slides.
Sexy!
The combo fridge and stove slide came out beautiful! It is form and function in a nice sleek package. The propane stove is custom built for the application with two high output burners. It will become a production item when we make the combo slide available. the fridge slide will work...
