I always wanted one of these.
The guys over at Ih8mud, are a bit leary of this rig. I have no affiliation. Just thought I would post this up:

I have always just used OME for all my trucks. Glad to hear they work well for the 4 runner.
I did have and SSO bumper on a Tacoma, it looked really good, I found it a bit annoying when getting to the winch control.
Thanks for the info Tex68w
Expo,
We have always kept my wife's vehicle stock. We are bouncing around the idea of doing a mild build on her 4runner. It is a 2018 4runner. We just put a new set of General grabber atx's on the truck.
I am looking for recommendations on a low pro or hidden winch bumper, roof rack, and...
I am a huge fan of the OME lift, but I usually have 100+ in the bed, bumper, and winch.
I really recommend doing the control arms as well. I have used the SPC and had great luck.
I am not saying they are equal or the T100 is faster. I was talking about a similar feeling. The 3rd Gen has more horsepower and get up for sure. I think it is more to do with the gearing on the 3rd gen. My buddy had a 2nd gen with a similar build, bumper, ome lift, and 33" tires. He would...
Its not apples to apples.
Going up the pass, in the T100 and in the 3rd gen, I was in the slow lane with pedal down, trying to go faster. Both trucks would hit the peak and then jump rpm wise and of coarse get back to Hwy speed. It was annoying in the T100 but to be expected. The 3rd Gen...
funny I did the same, I added the Bilstein HD's to mine and used a 32" tire. The stance and ride quality were perfect. I remember the 3.4 feeling sluggish. I also had a 3rd gen, the get-up and go seemed about the same between the two
This was my first T100. Its crazy it had 98k and was cherry. Every person I talked to said 15k to get the frame done right. I don't have the skills to do that amount of work. It would be amazing.
I had an incident like that with a Toyota dealer in FL. I found a truck on CL and sent it to the Dealer in St. Augustine for a basic report before I purchased the truck. They said the truck needed a power steering pump and a few basic items, to be expected on a 25 yr old rig. I have always...
Thats whats amazing about the T100, its like 11" of true ground clearance stock. Just add some decent shocks to help with dampening when driving offroad and its good to go.
I agree on the T100, that was one of the reasons I sold mine. I was lucky enough to have the 3.4 v6 in mine. It was bad but not as bad as the 3.0. They are so well built! Thank you HINO. I almost went Gen 2 tundra but went with a 2500 ram tradesmen w/the power wagon package. The truck is a...
I think a fun toy would be one of the 84-86 diesel survivors, maybe even go with an aluminum flat bed tray. It would be cool looking and really capable.
I had a first-gen tundra, they are great trucks. I loved the room, great power. I never felt like anything was lacking as far as a daily driver goes.
The most annoying thing to me about the T100 and first Gen tundra's was the lack of support. If you want to do basic mods, say suspension and a...
I agree with you on the early to mid 80's. I have always really wanted an 82-83 long bed sand color. I also really love the beveled bed with the tie down anchors.
