Ecodiesel as a short-distance commuter? Issues?

Making the assumption that the diesel doesn't need expensive repairs during all these fuel savings. Get the correct engine for the task at hand. Fuel economy is a poor data point in the decision.

    Open Carry in Wilderness Areas

I've heard that, in some areas, if you have a CCW, you can't open carry anymore. Watch out for that. It's amazing how f'd up and unconstitutional our laws are.

    New GM Hd?

Made in Detroit still. Plenty of jokes left. "Do you test the interior plastic for lead?" "Dodges are great for tail gate grilling raccoons!" "If you pick up the truck at the factory, you also get a dozen local houses for $30." "Does your new truck make you want to wear a fuzzy scarf, or fury...

    New GM Hd?

All trucks have driveline vibration complaint equally across the board. One of the reasons I went CCSB. To get the one piece drive shaft, no carrier bearing. Easy peizy tuning out vibes when I lift the truck (hopefully) Ford LED front lights are unadjustable rubbish. Halogens work fine...

I know how he feels . What a nightmare

Yeah, being angled over hard, and then the earth gives way and you slide, then a sudden stop......over you go. LOLz. Fun in the sun. It might be wise to incorporate some sort of eyelet and bar on the center roof of the truck to tip it upright with. I'd love a chance to try uprighting...

Slide In Campers and Weight Ratings....

Not mine. Was just using it as an example. I'll never tow on an extension ever again. My next camper will have zero overhang so it can tow anything, even another camper. We had a f250 with a similar, but lighter camper on it, and towed an 18' Fourwinns boat behind on an extension. If...

I know how he feels . What a nightmare

Not when it's tipping over. As the vehicle leans as soon as more weight is not over the track width, than what is directly over the track width, over you go. Not tipping: Tipping:

I know how he feels . What a nightmare

As soon as the trucks center of gravity, is outside of the track width, over it goes. Yeah, that rig looks a bit tipsy. Sometimes it pays to leave stuff at home. Nice of the forum to put him on the 1st page. LOL, that's harsh. Even for me.

removed the cooling fan for the winter

If it warms up quicker now, you need a tstat replaced. Of course, if your siphoning heat into the cabin on startup, obviously it'll heat up the engine slower. Tstat is easier to change then the fan, so why not?

Slide In Campers and Weight Ratings....

For just a camper? A gas DRW is a very viable alternative. We have plenty of those as work trucks. Especially if you don't run the truck too often with load, operate in the great white north, and/or your truck is just a grocery getter on weekdays. There's plenty of reasons why the...

That's a good idea if your camper is going to be close to maxxing the truck out. The extra tax sucks though.

? for F 250 owners - options mods etc on custom ordered 2019 or 2020

I haven't seen a 250 rated over 10,000 yet. I expect your bed capacity to be around 3200#. You can order a 250 with 350 springs, and still have that 10,000# limit. My F350 is rated less, everywhere across the board, than my F250 for some reason. The real sticker doesn't get applied...

The tailgate offers no security. Even with the ALL of the after market locks, I can get it out quickly. I'm not going to say how. Yes, it's easier getting in and out with the tailgate off. Yes you could get locked in, if someone closes the tailgate. You key remote will unlock the...

Anyone building a two wheel drive F-250 F-350

While my truck is a beast in 4wd, especially with the locker, it's pretty pathetic in 2wd off road. On road the traction control works excellent as a limited slip. As long as you stay on dry roads, go for it. Fabtech makes a 2wd kit IIRC.

The center front seat has storage in it's top and bottom halves. It folds down into a nice big armrest. I like it better than the center console. If I remove mine, I'll put a fridge in it's place. I'd consider the crew cab long bed. Although I did pick the CCSB, to have slightly less high...

    2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

TPMS is terrible. It's winter here, so I only have 55psi max in my tires. Have to deal with a giant orange obama light until I get FORSCAN. And it takes a while to get from one end of the campground to the other, I don't need my belts for every single errand. At least the new traction...
