    (DIY) Builder Burnout

New headlights got ordered today and new studded snow tires and an alignment also got done today. Was not planning on studded snows but after attempting to get to a patient's house with less than stellar results I bit the bullet and got them put on, not quite the sparkle and farkle I wanted to...

    LED vs HID

Thanks for the input y'all, I ordered the truck-lites and will give a report once I receive them and get them installed. I was torn and ultimately the non moving part aspect and not needing relays and lower operating temp sold me, I may end up with Scotts HID's if these do not meet expectation...

    LED vs HID

Pulling the trigger today on headlights and would like real world feedback on your experience with either a HID or LED headlight upgrade. I have narrowed down to; Vantage Optics: http://www.vantageoptics.com/shop/!/7x6-Sealed-Beam-Projector-Retrofit-Kit/p/71993086/category%3D0 and Trucklite...

    (DIY) Builder Burnout

This thread has definitely helped, so a big THANK YOU!!! I reexamined my thought/build process (it's scary it there) and realized that my insistence on having my kayaks travel inside and under the bed is limiting me to a build that does not suit my other wants and needs. I also realized that the...

    (DIY) Builder Burnout

Looking at some instant motivation and these came across my radar and wonder if anyone has experience with them. I need new tires but want to upgrade to 17" or 18" wheels which I am not quite ready to commit to so these seem to be a reasonable option for interim use...

    (DIY) Builder Burnout

Solid advice from all of you, thank you very much, sometimes you need a pep talk!!!! I have taken time off and that was definitely helpful and tried breaking it down into bite sized chunks but even those were a bit to big (eyes bigger than mouth/stomach) what I am trying to tackle now is...

    (DIY) Builder Burnout

How do you combat burnout? I am soooooooo sick of my van at the moment, I know it will pass but daaaaaaamn does it suck!! In an effort to not make more useless attempts at designing a layout/build sheet I just stopped altogether, now I feel over/underwhelmed all at once. FWP, most definitely...

Any van owner that is an ADV Moto rider in need of gear??

I posted this in the moto section but will offer my van clan a better deal by covering the shipping for you!!! I bought two of these suits while in South America (I am keeping one and passing on the other) because the price was so spectacular and the quality excellent. ADT is a Colombian brand...

    ADV MOTO SUIT BNWT

I bought two of these suits while in South America (I am keeping one and passing on the other) because the price was so spectacular and the quality excellent. ADT is a Colombian brand made by BOSI and recognized as a "higher" brand as they say down there. The size is XL but it fits like a L. I...

    VanKrishna: Operation K.I.S.S.

Mosquito Doors Having mosquito nets made while I am in Colombia, hope my pattern is right. I will post pics as soon as I get home and install them. These are conventional but my brother in law who is an industrial designer decided we needed a new approach and I have to say I like what he is...

    Blueford T Justice- 2006 E250 4x4

I had to move it over to the far east lot, did not realize they implemented "pay to park" in front of the terminal and was not about to pay for 2 cars for 10 days! The guy I talked to about the LineX version for total coverage (it is much smoother than the regular bed liner) said it cleaned...

    Pop-tops: are they worth it?

That is a serious bummer!!! I am 6' tall and it seemed to be a great alternative to the Super Camper and the massive wind drag, it looked to be that you would only lose the space directely above the cockpit, maybe I am wrong but I know that my B190 with that style top was a BIGGER BRICK than a...

    Blueford T Justice- 2006 E250 4x4

Damage is pretty superficial , the biggest dent is a 3" crease on the rear driver side wheel that is maybe 1/4" deep, the rest are just minor pings and parking lot style dents. I want to do a heavy coat/texture on the rockers and a lighter spray over the whole van.

Body Work Yo Chili, Do you know or are you skilled in the art of body work? I need some help and advice on how much body work is really necessary to have a decent Rhino/Raptor Lining sprayed on, I can't remember if this is correct or not but I seem to recall that the lining material covers a...

    Pop-tops: are they worth it?

30" Super Sport Top Sorry (not sorrrrrrrrrry) for jacking your thread but it seems the most relevant to my question, have you or anyone here on the forum been in a van with this particular top???? It seems to be a great compromise from the 30" super camper top and the 18" version of the...
