Pictures of our playpen... it's a 5x8 moto trailer that I've converted. It has a Tepui RTT, small awning, 12V dual group 31s, small 45w solar, 45qt fridge, 400w inverter, roof fan. The box was made by pro line trailers in NH.
Soft top year round in snow country. I had both tops, never had an issue with the soft top. We love the soft top for the quick and simple opening/closing. The hard top definitely has easier access to the rear cargo area though.
Double check your numbers.. I have 4.10s in my 4-door JK Rubicon and my tow rating is 3500lb, 300lb max tongue. I thought all 2-doors were 2000lb max. I have a 5x8 aluminum cargo trailer with a RTT on top and it tracks perfectly behind my jeep, no tow mirrors required.
Tepui has a “luxury” mattress listed on their website with a layer of latex or something. I am thinking about trying it but I haven’t heard any real world reviews yet.
I built a 5x8 for our family this year to tow behind our JK with it's pitiful 3000lb tow rating. It's 66" tall inside (so my wife fits but I don't). It has a 3500 lb axle with brakes and it's fully insulated. Empty it was 1150 lbs (according to the MFG, I've never weighed it). GVWR is 2995...
