Problems with peeling window trim/sash on Tundras???
The window sashes/trim/moulding on my 05 DC are peeling badly and in my opinion makes my truck look neglected/shoddy, anyone else dealing with this and have you come up with a solution? I tried a heat gun to just peel the rest of it off but...
Do you have any advise for adding the structural support in your topper? I am thinking that it is necessary for the weight of the RTT and occupants? I had a Yakima/Thule type track/rail installed on the cab and then added a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform for a future RTT but the vibration and noise...
This sounds like it will be a fun build to follow!!! Love reading about all of the creativity and ingenuity on these threads. As for the pictures you may need to contact admin.
I have had the following '00 AC, lost the tranny on that one, '06 DC Limited, loved it and would still have that one accept it was a company truck, I now have an '05 DC SR5 that I plan on keeping for a looooooong time. I went out of my way to find a clean 1 owner low mileage truck passing up...

On the way home, we swung through Invermere to have a swim in the lake. Couldn't help but drool over this FINE specimen.

Thanks for that info, I will def poke around when/if I get the chance to look at it, I was just informed that she had a "serious" buyer so I figured since it is 3 1/2 hours away I might as well wait and keep looking. Patience is key, gotta learn how to slow down that burn in the old pocket anyway :)
I was thinking $1000 max, however, this person seems to think it is worth $2500, with nothing to back it up, was trying to see if it was justified or not? What it has done though is open my eyes to something other than a full on cab over, so that is a bonus :)
Turns out it is called a Pinewood, but a google search turns up nothing! Any other options to see what it might be worth? There is not a manufacture date, model or serial number:confused::confused:
X2 ON THE PICS, especially since I have pretty much the same truck :)
PS I tried to use one of those simulator things on one of the tire websites and I could not get it to work :(
I found to be what might be a perfect compromise for a HSC but the owner is unsure of the make/model. Any ideas what this might be? It is currently sitting on a 1st gen Tundra Access Cab
I have a Toytech Boss kit on order and have never driven the taller skinnier tire but have been really intrigued with the look and performance. Has anyone been rocking these tires, words of advise regarding drive-ability in snow country, load capacity and how to adjust speedo for correct MPH &...
:victory: Thanks, and I have no idea why I did not think about CL for a used fairing, bada bing!!! Found one in Denver and am going to go back to Rack Attack and see what solution they have for the mounting brackets.
It is mounted on an 05 DC Tundra, with Thule tracks and Rhino Racks low profile mounting hardware via 3 points per side screwed into rectangular nuts that slide in the tracks. The vibration is the entire cab area and it is noisy, like wind coming through slightly open windows even though they...
After a ton of agonizing and waffling on selling my B190 or converting it to 4wd I ended up selling it, let's face it, at the end of the day it is still a 22 year old van/rv and dumping $17-20k into it didn't seem reasonable especially since it was only getting 9-10mpg before the conversion...
Your mileage??
Quad, is that 15.2/16.7mpg by the math or does your DC have a computer? What elevation are you at? I have an 05 DC and struggle to get 15mpg with my topper OFF, with the topper and basket ON,which I am assuming is lighter than your RTT, I avg 13.5, I drive 75 with cruise control...
