Thank you for those kind words Silver.
It have been a great ride. We love this very capable trailer. It will be sad to see it go, but knowing someone will be blessed with new adventures shall make up for the departure of the little Smitty.
Thank you also for all the inspiration and help you have...
Yeah..... I am truly heart broken as I love the trailer, but my wife was in tears due to hip pain hopping up and down the ladder. Granted after her operation later this year she will be back and able after a long while, and according to her doc, ladder climbing is not on the approved list after...
I hope it is not against forum rules to link stuff in the flea market. Mods if it is, please delete this and accept my apology.

It have been a pleasure to build this one out to where it is today. The Scouts greatest asset is its customization ability. It can become whatever you want. This one went from a tongue weight of 385 pounds to just over 200 with 12 gallon of fresh water up front.
So as this have been a great ride, this past weekend made it painfully clear that we need to sell the trailer as my wife was struggling to get up and down the ladder, as she needs to have her hip replaced. The trailer have to many modifications to reasonably list them all but the entire build is...
Dang...... That is just incredible. Even with the worst welds in the world, that is simply incredible that it failed with such little stress on it. Prying the metal apart in the prior picture indicates veeeeery soft metal. Now if ya hung a airplane from it, I could understand, but an arb...
Had a great time @ Silver Jack CG Colorado this past weekend. This little trailer is simply fantastic. This was however also the camp trip where we have concluded that we need to sell it as my wife is having a hard time getting up the ladder as she need hip surgery. :( :( :(
It have been a great...
You might also try to prop up the unit inside the box. If not, I would most certainly cut the bucket to make it work. That is a very heavy drawer, and you could also consider making one from composites..... :) :) :) :)
I made a mistake of my own when I welded mine.
I did not count on the weight with the tire on it and it swings in about 1/2 inch below the latch but I just lift it up to engage the latch.
Bingo. I kept trimming the tent awning poles until they worked. Id say one pole was shortened by 10 inches and one by 8. I think yours is very similar to mine. Better relationship here in my walkaround video. 9:20 in more specifically.
Yeah..... Smitty have been hot and cold with their customer service. They have always been great with me, but there are several members who have had a hard time. Hopefully they get it sorted for ya shortly. How did the rear swing build go for you?
I have seen more issues with the state of California registering this trailer.
I did not have a vin.
Back 4 years ago..... Colorado State inspection issued me one.
Same day i was rocking. Just keep working at it.
It will be all worth it.
I solved the awning issue several threads back by making a couple of aluminum blocks.
You can dig it up in this thread or watch the Smitty walkaround vids on my youtube channel.
That would give you an idea how to skin it.
Welcome and glad the first trip was a great one.
Many more to come.
It usually seats when weight is on that panel.
My tepui kuggenam xl is the same way.
The fabric is holding it up until you weigh it down.
Moisture will also relax the fabric to seat it.
Dont worry about it.
No worries at all.
3.5 inches. I'd go 4 but I can open my door 140 deg.
Right.... smitty sent me two swing carriers. One was linger than the other by perhaps 7 inches.
I choose the longer one.
If you start welding and mounting the bumper it will be easy to fab and align the rest.
Make sure you...
