    RTT Ladder Padding

Have any of you tried simply filing down the edges and smoothing it up with a coarse Scotch-Brite pad? I'll probably do the above in conjuction with some paracord wrap for added comfort when I pick up my RTT in the next month or so. Being that I'm not springing for a premiuim RTT, I assume...

    seats and seat covers

I've had my TA covers on since early March and they're more than I could have asked for with a single exception. I'll try to remember to update this post with a couple photos. The Bad: The molle strapping doesn't quite work with molle stuff; you are limited to TA bags and belt-clip style...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Nice BP! Any chance you can post a close up of how you attached yours to the rack? I'm not entirely confident or happy with mine in that area. I was considering using some KC tube clamp mounts on V2.

    $50-$70 Amazon Snorkels

This is why you put a pre-cleaner (cyclonic style filter) in place of the standard periscope top inlet. I run the standard periscope most of the time and bring my pre-cleaner with me in the event the trails are dry/dusty. It does work in my experience.

    rear power point wiring?

I took my carpets out 6 months ago. I used the firewall penetration on the passenger side (behind plastic cover on side of dash hidden by door when shut - I'll post a pic later) and then ran the wire under the plastic fascia/panels that hide the OEM wire bundles. Once the plastic ends I...

    rear power point wiring?

The power outlet in the subwoofer assembly is absolute crap; do not use it for anything drawing more than an amp. You will need to run a wire back from the battery. I ran 8ga back to the rear with a 4" run of 10ga for the fuse before the load (12v socket). The tie down screws are decent grounds.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I've used it for tent poles, antennas, and smaller diameter PVC or copper pipe during runs from the big box store. The problem with shorter items is they can be a total PIA to get back out since they invariably slide forward.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I primarily use it for my fishing rods. It is 8' long so that it can accommodate my one-piece saltwater rods. IRRC the tube is 5" or 6" diameter drain pipe. It was the best $20 I've spent in years.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Installed my ORH CargoTop and ARB 37qt. I either need to modify the tonneau portion with marine zippers or a fridge slider.

    New JK - Duratrac Question

+2 Holds true for wet WA as well. I believe the weak sidewall concerns are unfounded for the average wheeler. That's why we carry spares anyways...

extra storage space in JKU ?

Trying to make it through customs eh? I jest (I hope). Like GetOutThere mentioned there is some relatively usable space in the tub behind the taillights that would be good for emergency items that don't need to take up readily accessible space. There is also some long space where the...

    TJM sliders installed

Those look nice. How far do they stick out on the sides? Is the much room to use it as a step/doors-off foot rest?

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Recieved and installed my Gobi yesterday. I can't wait to get it loaded up! As usual with new Jeep parts, I now have another follow on project or two. I need to relocate my antenna, wrap the ladder and load bars with non-skid, and attach my kayak racks and fishing rod tube.

    Interior rack idea

I wonder how much they would sell those rear JKU mounting legs for (I don't see them on the website)? This could be a much more affordable alternative to the Poly/Synergy rack. I know Front Runner makes one for the JK, but it doesn't look like it will work with my soft top (ORH Cargo Top).

    Unhappy with Currie Enterprise.

I'll bet they are more responsive once they've recovered from their EJS hangovers. It seems that the four wheeling industry goes into customer service limp-mode during the months of SEMA, EJS, and KoH. Unless you are displaying a truck there with their giant logo on the side, their commitment...

    Best stove to buy?

Another vote for the Coleman Dual Fuel/Peak1 stove. I've been using this style for 25yrs. Sure, the design is a little dated and it weighs a tad more than other compact stoves, but they take a beating and just plain work. My backpacking lantern burns the same fuel so I only need to carry one...
