    Machine the knuckle, bevel the shoulder top and bottom, heat the knuckle, tig weld the insert in, grind / machine flush and assemble....     2 tires mounted and balanced. Should get the other 3 mounted and balanced tomorrow. 1 tire only took 8 ounces to balance and the other took 10 ounces. These tires were "very" round, actually, they are rounder than the 40 inch MTR-Ks on my Jeep.

    I will absolutely call them on Monday. Thank You. I would also consider a 20 inch forged wheel with a set of Inner Air Lock inflatable Beadlock / runflats / ( but I don't know anyone who runs that brand) basically a hutchinson minus 30 pounds a wheel and wheel adapters.

    Trail Ready Beadlock wheels are nice, that is for sure. Does Trail Ready have a "Billet" 20 inch Beadlock? I wonder what the safe range air pressure wise is for a 20 inch wheel? Is it 20psi minimum??? Just how low can you go on a 20 inch wheel?????

    The wheels came from Discount Tire Direct through Nemesis "I get stuff through them at cost / a little perk for being friends with the owner" and the tires came from Expedition Imports in California. Tires weigh 118 pounds each / give or take a few ounces ( on a shipping scale at the shop )...

    WooHoo..... Tires have arrived, and wheels will be in the shop by Wed. I almost have all the parts for the truck, just waiting on gears, lockers, and full PSC steering from DPP. I should be able to put the truck on the lift by next friday and start putting it together.

    considering tires, I bought Continental MPT 81s. I did look at a lot of other 40s, all C and D rated side walls. Super swamper was not an option for daily driving as they won't last very long. I spoke in length with DPP and for them, they run Toyo's in the 40 inch variety with 17 inch wheels...

    Great question, I only know what I have been told by AEV and Diesel Power Products. AEV recommends 4.30 gears for 40 inch tires because thats the deepest gear ratio you can get in the AAM variety. DPP recommended 4.88 gears for 40s if your going to tow anything over 5k pounds.
