Yes we have a mount kit available, super stout but does require some drilling. Nothing serious but totally needed to reinforce that plastic corner on the Pioneer Platforms.
The lack of an annex has been a long concern of many people, like you may have picked up in this forum James Baroud has a new product that addresses this. We have had the Tunnel Awning in a complete stage for nearly two years at this point but internationally registering the designs to protect...
James Baroud was started nearly two decades ago because the owner was unsatisfied with his Autohome tent, it is because of that they innovated a hardshell tent with gas struts, 3 layer fiberglass, ventilation fan, aluminized fabric and 360* screening. Not to be a copy of the current market...
We just returned from visiting Alu-Cab HQ down in Cape Town, South Africa and I couldn't be more excited to show you guys some new products coming down the pipeline! :) Some teasers until this year's Overland Expo West!
I wouldn't feel comfortable importing a brand that has resorted to imitating other products on the market rather than innovating or improving the products they built their brand on.
Maybe imitate is not a strong enough description, rather buy a competitor's product copy the mold, latches...
We do have a mount for the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform, it is not something we heavily advertise as it must be drilled into the rack to strengthen that plastic rear corner of the rack. I have been running this setup on my Rhino Rack equipped JKU for about two years now with nothing bad to say.
You are going to want to mount the tent on a minimum of two load bars, attaching just the sides will allow flex in the body and issues down the road. We have a really cool little plate system that attaches a pair of Alu-Cab load bars to the Slim Line II racks. Drop me an email and i can get you...
Yes, we are trying to encourage people to support their local dealer. It is a big purchase and it is nice to have a local dealer show the product, install and explain all the details to the end user.
No current plans, the Khaya demand has actually taken some production away form the Ossewa...
They will start at $14,000 and fully kitted $24,000. pricing is still not set in stone and online because we are switching a few components. Plus we have about 30 small changes to implement on the production models for the USA. Those that know me know i'm a picky person and this is why we wanted...
I've been seriously slacking with updating this thread with the latest and greatest from Alu-Cab :( Well to catch you guys up, here are a few shots of our prototype Khaya camper!
Sorry for the delay guys! As most of you know i have been running mad to finish this Tacoma after normal shop hours here and we literally finished it Tuesday afternoon, i drove to pick up Jeremy from Alu-Cab at the airport and the following morning were on our way to Expo! :coffeedrink: After...
Thanks guys! :) We are really pumped for this build too, here is a sneak peak of the Khaya prime spec before being loaded a few weeks back. It is due to land here next week and it feels like Christmas Eve around here.
It is no surprise that we have been long time Toyota enthusiasts and have been outfitting them for over three decades, but what is shocking is we have never had a true "Shop" Tacoma.
Well that is all about to change, introducing our new 2017 MGM TRD Off-road AC!
Everything about...
The Alu-Cab Expedition III can definitely handle any abuse you can throw at it including a few bikes up top. I've personally used this tent on my JKUR with a 1UP bike rack and it works fantastic, the only thing to keep in mind is the overall height of your rig. For my lifted Jeep, the base of my...
