Your wife is spot on for a 5th Gen T4R, that wing is huge! Depending on what rack you are running it can be a little bit of a challenge. Currently we have a "tall" version of our Front Runner mount kit in the works for spoiler equipped rigs.

Oh no I would leave the rear mount, if you purchased your tent in the last 3 months it should have a second ladder mount in the ladder bag with hardware.
We are in the works of getting telescoping ladders, in South Africa the ladders seem to fit the general population of rigs but here not so much. For those needing a longer ladder in the meantime, this ladder off amazon works great with the Alu-Cab mount attached to the top of it...
Damn, the only solution for that rack is the FourTrek mounts but your rack is so close to the roof that I do not think you could operate the awning.
