Oh no I would leave the rear mount, if you purchased your tent in the last 3 months it should have a second ladder mount in the ladder bag with hardware.

We are in the works of getting telescoping ladders, in South Africa the ladders seem to fit the general population of rigs but here not so much. For those needing a longer ladder in the meantime, this ladder off amazon works great with the Alu-Cab mount attached to the top of it...

Damn, the only solution for that rack is the FourTrek mounts but your rack is so close to the roof that I do not think you could operate the awning. The Typical Baja Rack awning mounts for the 3" & 5" racks are a breeze for mounting the Shadow Awn...

The James Baroud will have zero flapping of fabric during windy nights. The gas struts raise the tent and then the arms are pushed past center locking them tight and applying proper tension on the exterior fabric. This is why our tents are rated to 70mph winds, making this possible...

The four clamps included inside the tent mount to the bottom channel and the side channel. Then you can bolt the tent downward to your rack or cross bars like this.
