    Build #4 has begun today, this will be a simpler build and will not have all the bells and whistles as the other builds. It will be a basic trailer for carrying camping gear inside and kayaks on the top. No RTT, on board power or lights planned on this one.

    Well I know it's been awhile so here are some updates to the build. Installed a bracket for the table and solar panel inside the lid. Making the propane tank holder. Tank installed. Added additional gas struts to lift the lid with ease. Best daughter ever if she does say so herself.

    Measured it this morning and it was 7 1/2 inches above the windshield. Putting the vehicle in the garage could be an issue, I keep mine outside. My trailer stays in the garage.

    I'd say a roof rack is the way to go or you could use a trailer. I use both. The cargo area in my Jeep is for the dogs also, so very little if anything gets packed there and the rear seat is removed. Here's my setup, it all fits in the trailer.

    The trailer is a little larger than the standard 416. Here is some pictures from the last weekend of work. Filled in the back for the tail gate and built the lid. Used the same technique as with the floor punch holes in the metal and spot welded them.

    The hubs came in so the wheels are on now. The metal was ready at the metal shop, with all the bends in it. Here is a test fit. And here it is after being welded in (front, sides, top and rear). We are well on the way to meeting the Oct deadline.
