I don't know how much it weighs, and I'm not sure how I would go about finding out. I have never towed it fully loaded, but I can feel it more than I would have expected empty, especially climbing hills.
Here is a "before" photo of my trailer:
I completely disassembled the trailer in order to swap out the 5x5.5 drums for 6x5.5's, to match my Tacoma, as well as to clean and repaint. The plate steel used to line the cargo box, and the diamond plate on the front deck, weigh a TON. I am...
A couple of questions:
How are you liking that Camping Lab RTT, other than the issues with the cover?
Where did the raised cargo carrier come from that you have on the truck?
Funny thing is, the flood lights aren't even hooked up right now. And it has electric brakes, but they aren't hooked up yet either. The tail lights are right below the flood lights.
It was a bit tricky! Fortunately, there was a wide spot not far downhill from where forward progress ceased. At one point, the two of us had to get out and physically move the trailer to one side a little, but it worked.

I guess you would call it custom built, but inspired by military trailers. The owner used to build them to sell. But he put so much into them (both materials and man hours), that I guess he couldn't sell enough for what he had in them to stay in business. This was the last one he still had...

The tongue height is just about perfect for my new custom...
Thanks for the links. I've actually seen all those, except the surplus one. The used mil trailers aren't exactly cheap.
I'm certainly not rushing into things! I've been looking at off-road trailers for a couple of years, and just not seeing much that I like in my price range. I could wait a...
