    LR4 fridge placement

I would assume having the charge controller a little further away would be fine with the right wire gauges. They don't move a crazy amount of amps, but enough that you want something well connected. I just have my controller in the battery box on the side of my battery. Probably not perfectly...

    LR4 fridge placement

A 100w renogy panel with a Victron BlueSolar 75/15 MPPT Charge Controller works well for my battery/fridge/etc setup. I have mine hooked up to my aux battery using a Traxide SC-80 setup which can also reverse charge into the start battery. The panel can be tilted up to act as a wind faring...

    Tactical 4x4 Bumper Question

Mine just kinda sat about like this. I couldn't get it much further up, but I don't know that I would want it higher. If I really bang on something I don't want contact with the body or with the plastic bottom of the tail lights. I wasn't considering or thinking "flex"... more about BANG!

Demonstration of Terrain Response in a D4 on rollers

I love having the e-diff in the back. Makes for very little wheel spin.

    LR4 fridge placement

The 50qt or the 63qt? I have a 50qt there, but I wouldn't think the larger one would fit at all.

    Decisions, decisions

Don’t forget about Voyager racks. I know they have changed over the years, but I still love mine. Quite, strong steel, easy to attach things (1” tube). The wind fairing really works well.

LR OEM Accessory: A-Frame Front Bumper Guard VPLAP0022

Those things are basically foam. you know that right? The only thing they could protect is maybe a 9-year old crossing the street in front of your rover at 2 mph.

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

The middle of the struts are higher than the ends when lowered, so the struts hold it down. No pin needed. I agree that portable panels are better for sun placement and getting the most power, but mine is just there as a wind fairing and I just kinda plan where I park a bit. I really don't...

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

I have my CTEK connected to the main battery and it charges both via the SC-80. My solar mount is all custom but I can list parts. JR Products BR-1020 10mm Flat Gas Spring Mounting Bracket 10MM Ball Stud Bracket for Gas Spring/Prop/Strut (2 Pack) 2 of JR Products GSNI-5150-20 Gas Spring 4 of...

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

I use a CTEK 7002 I think.. something like that.. to keep my setup charged when it has to sit in the garage for a long time. I swear I have a little too much current drain with my setup somewhere, but its hard to know. My main AGM might be getting a little worn at this point. This year I...

LR3/LR4 owners: What height do you set your suspension?

Yep. Unless you really rock crawl, that is the only valid reason to mess with it... it looks great/better when it is raised up. But the overall design constraints and changing anything about your drive angles is, in my opinion, not worth it.

LR3/LR4 owners: What height do you set your suspension?

Stock EAS height. 265/65R18 (gives a little lift over OE tires). Skids. I'd love to have more war stories with my LR4, but I have to admit, most of my trips are really tame. I did consider getting that ASFIR rear diff guard because it doesn't look too heavy (unlike all my T44 stuff) and it...

NEW LR3 LR4 GAS TANK SKID PLATE

No aluminum on my fatty lr4. This is all Tactical 4x4 steel, sliders, t-case skid, gas tank skid, rear bumper. (and an ARB Summit bar up front). All of my T44 stuff was done with the aluminum spray metalizing coating from zincnation and then powder coated locally. It's holding up to rust...

NEW LR3 LR4 GAS TANK SKID PLATE

Nice to see more aluminum options. Would be nice to see an aluminum version of the Tactical skid. I like the t44 version because it has bends for strength, and its easier to clean the sand/mud out of it with the vents. Why is it perfectly flat? Won't that bend more easily? I bet it weights...

    lr4 on 33" tires

I run 265/65R18 on compos also. The ET44 offset takes care of some of that fitment issue. I only slightly rub the frame horns on full lock. I moved the driver side wire harness also, but I don't think I rubbed it much. It probably does look good with a bit more, but the nice thing about...

    lr4 on 33" tires

Why the wheel spacers? just looks? The front skid plate looks like a mantec factory skid, right?

    lr4 on 33" tires

Finlayforprez's 2013 LR4 was the inspiration for mine. He used a different roof rack and rear bumper I think, but I liked the white with the ARB (I went with the newer Summit, but its similar to the Deluxe) and the tactical sliders and compos. He told me he is considering selling his LR4...

    Tactical4x4 Duel fuel carrier option

Yes, they are water cans in those pictures. I don't always need fuel on my trips, especially in the midwest. But having lots of water is nice. If you ask him, he will still put the holes there for you. They don't make sense if you have the tire swing on all the time because it will trigger...

    Tactical4x4 Duel fuel carrier option

I am going to assume you mean the rear swing away dual carrier? I have only used it for one year, but it has been great so far. I like the single latch for both swing outs, and the gas struts hold them out nicely. I like that they don't have the stupid locking pins that require extra hands...
