I'm all for a real transfer case, but maybe the LR4 has enough power and low enough gears that low range doesn't provide as much advantage as it used to with low power engines and 4 speed transmissions. I'm just speculating this may be their thinking.
Great story. For early D1 there is a immobilization bypass harness sold by AB. For late D1 the entire security system can be disabled with a Faultmate/Hawkeye/T4/Autologic system. Is there anything like that for the P38?

Oregon is going to be very interesting. This state is covered in dense forest and huge networks of old trails, most of them very rough. Forest fires are raging throughout the state. Large areas are closed or covered in smoke and temperatures are 90-100 degrees. Smoke was so bad in the city here...
