Looking at a new 2013 JK unlimited Rubicon.

I wonder if those are Mopar Hardrock rims with spacers, or the Quadratec version with the correct backspacing?

Looking at a new 2013 JK unlimited Rubicon.

I'm not usually a fan of painted roof and fenders but that's a nice looking JK!

"Bruce" the 2014 Jeep JKUR Build Thread

I haven't seen any issues posted regarding the new ones. I currently have one of the Gen 2's and the rim itself is substantially thicker then the Gen 1, I'm not sure what other design changes have been incorporated. AEV has been helpful and I am working with them on a solution.

Make sure they are GEN 2 Pintlers, I've had two of my GEN 1's crack in the last month.

National Luna Split-Charge System Charging Issues?

Just an update for those that care, it's been over a year since I switched away from the NL to a Blue Sea 500 amp ML-ACR for my dual battery charging needs. I've been in all kinds of ambient temps, up to about 115 degrees and the system has worked flawlessly. I still suspect high under hood...

Anyone familiar with sPod switching device used in vehicles?

Not sure what kind of Jeep you have but if it's a JK you might want to re-think the NL system. A couple of us have had issues with them on the JK platform. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/135771-National-Luna-Split-Charge-System-Charging-Issues

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

Thanks for kind words, it's been fun documenting the build. I thought about doing the water storage in the bed, but I like having the option of using the trailer for moving large items. I think I'm going to go above the axle with a tank to keep the weight low. Sent from my Nexus 6P using...

    Dual battery option?

    Good point, thanks.

    Dual battery option?

I agree, that is just you :sombrero: The Blue Sea ACR 7622 has a mechanical switch under the hood in case there is any "electronics" issue. I would also argue that automatic takes out the ever present "human error" factor out. While expensive doesn't guarantee reliability, neither does being...

    Dual battery option?

The ACR has a remote switch as well, you can control it manually if you like. I don't know how much simpler it needs to be, AUTO, Combined, Separated.

Let Me See Your HF Box!

I left mine on, the battery doesn't need to go in and out on a regular basis and it hasn't been an issue for any other items.

    Current articulating hitch ideas?

Max coupler - earlier designs weren't as easy to hook up, but current design is a piece of cake. Haven't ever read of failure of a Max Coupler which is not the case for the Lock N Roll which is why I chose the Max Coupler.

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

Diamond Back update I'm a bit buried at the moment but wanted to give an update on the Diamondback install and put up a few more pics. I'm loving it so far, very happy with the purchase. Here are some things I ran into on the install. They are not issues just install notes for those with...

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

They actually have a model specific to the M101 trailers. I have to double check but I think it's called M101A3-SLEX. Regardless, they will have you fill out a measurement sheet. Shoot Jordan at Diamondback an email and he will get you set up. jsmith@diamondbackcovers.com I'm working on an...

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

Roughly $1450 plus shipping. Pricey but very well made and they have great customer service. I had lots of questions over the course of a month and they responded quickly and thoroughly to all of them.

    Off-road coupler play, fix?

I've used one of these for years on the vehicle side, for trailers, bike racks, etc. My trailer side doesn't seem to rattle. http://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Accessories/Lets-Go-Aero/63232.html
