Do you feel the need to have a weapon when camping

The key to handgun safety is to keep your finger off the trigger, until you're ready to shoot. Or, as they like to say in gun school "Keep your booger-hook off the bang-switch".

Do you feel the need to have a weapon when camping

Huh? What revolver has a decocker, or a safety for that matter? And as long as a Glock is in a properly designed holster the trigger is protected and the weapon can't be fired. Pretty much the same with any handgun, btw. And simply holding a Glock doesn't defeat any of the intrinsic safety...

    Headset/Mike??

Well, that'll be a bit more of a problem. There are some mobiles that have bluetooth like the Yaesu FTM-350R. But you said 'cheap' :) - HRO is listing them for $570, plus the bluetooth headset (another $80) Another alternative would be a mobile with external speakers, mounted on the B-pillar...

    Propane tank....???

Thats where I carry mine, usually. Of course, it's not connected to anything and I don't smoke. It's probably safer there than strapped to the outside.

    Headset/Mike??

Most any handheld will support a speaker/mic, they just plug in (get the right plug). I'd get a noise canceling microphone version. Also, the newer radios often have bluetooth built in or addable, you can use any bluetooth headset, I guess. I haven't tried that myself.

    Propane tank....???

Store any way you'd like, use upright.

    Propane tank....???

You can store it on it's side but it needs to be vertical to use (unless it's a sideways tank like used on RV's).

    Lunette with bend for leveling

Yeah. The lunettes we made were for M101's, I think...the raw forging was something like 45 pounds? And there wasn't a whole lot of machining on them...turning threads and a couple of shoulders? It's been awhile.

    Need some opinions ASAP!! PLEASE!!

Well, an M101 weighs in empty at around 1150 lbs....thats a lot of empty weight.

    Lunette with bend for leveling

Yeah, they're big honking forgings, IIRC....(I used to work, before med school, for a company that made them).

    Tactical or Traditional Rifle?

An increasing number of hunters are using AR-pattern rifles these days: Usually in something other than .223 though. The ergonomics, light weight, light recoil, and availability of options make it possible. Just don't get caught with anything other than a hunting-legal magazine with you by a...

    Which Stove?

I meant buy an old, white gas stove and the propane conversion (replaces the tank and generator tube), fix the stove as needed (all the parts are available) and then you have a durable stove that will work with propane or white gas, well within your budget.

    Which Stove?

Find a Coleman dual burner at garage sale, swap meet, CL or whatever...($10) Take to do-it-yourself car wash and clean, if needed ($5) Fix as necessary ($10) Add propane conversion ($20) Now you have gas/propane capability in a near bullet-proof stove.

Do you feel the need to have a weapon when camping

No prob. And of course, revolvers are often loaded with either half- or full-moon clips. Some need them for correct headspacing, others just use them for quicker reloads.

    Camp Cooking Help Needed

+1. We have a couple of ice chests, the smaller (kind of medium, actually) has the daily use stuff and the food for that day. The larger one (which ever we have - we have one big enough for my wife to sleep in :) ) is for future meals, with blocks (not cubes) of ice, and we open it only once...

    Chili or HOT HOT HOT?

Old school Coleman Products.. Worth IT?

Sweet. I've got about the same. I really like the 3-burner. The best thing about having multiple stoves, though, is that as soon as we start cooking we can set a big pot of water to heat, on it's own stove, and as we take water out for cooking, cleaning, whatever we just refill the pot and...
