You should not dry-fire a rimfire. Most centerfires are OK (a very few have unsupported firing pins that will peen their stops).

If the offending item is in a duct, how about cutting a small access/inspection hole (with a rotozip or dremel or something) and then patching the hole? That might be easier than a full dismantling.
I rented one for a week or so once....did a fair amount of freeway driving through the California desert with it but not much off-road (a little off paved road driving).
It's rather small, somewhat underpowered (I was in a gasser, not sure what the engine was), and tended to get blown around...
You're welcome. The powerpoles are quite good connectors. Marine grade connectors are also good but you might have trouble finding them in the sizes you want.

Generally HF is considered to be 3-30 MHz, which puts 6 meter (~50 Mhz) in the VHF range - generally called VHF-low.
VHF is 30-300 MHz, or VHF-hi
UHF is 300-3000MHz
Cast iron is finicky in that you cant cook acidic foods (tomato sauces) in them, and require special cleaning techniques (no steel wools, little soaps)..
