Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Added a few more pics from Saturday of the new Demello sliders. Please excuse the mess on the ground, that is Ajax powder from scrubbing my tires in the morning when I gave the rig a bath in my parking spot. I am still sore from installing these on Friday, and in addition to balancing them on...

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Demello Dominatorz Sliders Installed 7-22-2016 Ordered June the 22nd, and they arrived July the 22nd. My current set of sliders have been on the rig since I bought my FJ in July of 2006. The powder coating is chipped off quite a bit, and it was time for an update. I checked out Demello's...

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Hi-Lift Jack Moved 7-17-2016 For years my Hi-Lift jack has been angled down with the Fourtrek mounts. I have to admit the business end of the jack was covering my drivers side headlight some, but not so much that I could not see to drive. Since having my new ARB Intensity LED lights installed...

What is everyone using to power their portable fridges?

Thanks! I did not want it on the tent as I like having it this way so I can track the sun with it. I do have a second 100 watt suitcase style like mentioned in my post above, but I use it for the ArkPacs battery, not my rigs. I could also use it for my main battery if I wanted too, and just...

What is everyone using to power their portable fridges?

The panel plugs into a socket on my grill, then the wires from the socket go to a Brunton charge controller. You should always use a charge controller. I also have a nice suitcase style 100 watt panel with built in charge controller for the ArkPac.

What is everyone using to power their portable fridges?

I use the stock Toyota battery to power my fridge, and a 60 watt folding Powerfilm solar panel to keep the main battery charged up. I have a dual battery system just in case. As a test I have ran my fridge before for close to five days without starting the rig with the main battery, and it...

I'm tired of crappy Sun Showers....any good ones out there?

I use to use the Zodi pump one you heated with its propane heater, but switched over to this nice one a few years ago. It comes in a nice carry bag, and you can use the disposable 1 lb bottles, or use a bigger tank with the adapter hose. Base Camp AquaCube Portable Water Heater/Shower

    Pictures of Camp Kitchens

Staff should combine these two threads, then they would all be in one place. I need to put my chuckbox on a diet, was going too this past weekend, but I got to busy.

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Warn 90287 Wireless Remote Installed 7-9-2016 I really cannot call this an installation, as there is no installation like my old Ramsey wireless winch controller. I use to run a Ramsey Wireless winch setup on the FJ, but over last weekend I ruined it. I unspooled my winch line to inspect it...

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

ARB Intensity LED Lights Installed 7-5-2016 I ran two sets of Hella 500s on my old '91 4Runner, but never got around to getting some decent off road lighting for the FJ until I saw John owner of Auburn Car Repair & Offroad when I went in awhile back for my body mount chop as my tires were...

Chrome plastic trim around Maggiolina tents

No problem Frenchie. Thanks, I will order up some on my next Amazon order which seems to be several times a week :D

    New Stove from Jetboil

Cool, I might just get the two pans. I like the Magma set, but it would be nice to test this out too. Also trying to lighten the load on my chuckbox as it is waaaaay overloaded. But that that is from an 8 piece silverware set, and way to many dishes. I need to trim it back just for the GF and me.

I do believe I found my next awning

I am not sure. The BajaRack ones I have now were made to fit with the BajaRack. There are three of them, but Paul was concerned with them bending down. It is a HUGE hassle too to remove the current ones as you have to loosen the tent mounts and jack the tent up off of the roof. I had to do that...

    The "Expedition hat" thread

Hell I could not cram myself into skinny jeans if I tried with a giant shoehorn.

I do believe I found my next awning

Change of plans. I showed Paul at Equipt1 my BajaRack awning mounting brackets, and he thinks with the 50 lbs of the Bat awning it will bend them down horizontally which would not be a good thing. I still want to replace my awning, and I will be inquiring what the mounting track looks like on...

Experience of Sleeping in a RTT?

I think most of the soft sided ones have a pretty good mattress in them too. Mine is 3" thick I believe. This is an old video of mine from 2009 when the tent was on the factory rack, too far up IMO. The next year in 2010 I got a low profile BajaRack rack that lowered the tent closer to the roof...

Experience of Sleeping in a RTT?

I have the hardshell AutoHome Maggiolina AirLander, and everything stays in it which is the down comforter, flannel sheets, two full size pillows, ladder, etc. This is how I arrange it before putting the top down.

    New Stove from Jetboil

Christophe I was reading your article this morning, but have not finished it yet. I really do not need one of these for camping as I use a Campchef Denalli stove, but this thing is just too cool not to own :D I will probably get one later to also use for camping, and maybe put it in my emergency...

I do believe I found my next awning

Thanks. Is the back side of yours like in my picture above? I hope so, then it will mount to my rack easily.
