Gen 2 Lower Trunk Hinge Pin Specs (Pics)

I had a broken bottom hinge on my 98, no idea how it got that way though. It was easy to source a newer one from the local scrapyard though

    1998 Gen 2.5 - O2 Sensor replacement - Mission Impossible?

LOL. I took it to a shop. They put it on a lift, had a skinny guy unclip it and plug in the new one. They screwed in the new sensor unit and cleared the codes and I gladly, though somewhat sheepishly, paid them $60 for their time and tools.

    Gen 2.5 - Headlight failure..sorta?

What would cause one headlight to go dim? I replaced the passenger side bulb with a new one, but it's still dim. I measured 11.85v at the harness, but I don't know what the good one is reading because the driver side bulb is a real PIA to get to. I can't think of what would cause it to be...

    1998 Gen 2.5 - O2 Sensor replacement - Mission Impossible?

I'm told there are four O2 sensors on the 1998 Gen 2.5 with the 3.5: SOHC engine. I can only find two, one just ahead of the cat, just after the right and left bank exhaust manifolds merge into one pipe before passing through the Catalytic converter, and another between the Cat and the muffler...

power tools: red, yellow, or blue. need help...

I second the Bosch jigsaw. Smoothest jigsaw ever, but mine is corded. It's stupid expensive, but I think SnapOn makes the best cordless Impact drivers. Nothing touches them in torque per size of tool.

    New Jeep decision help....

Or spend $5k and get a 3rd Gen Montero, which makes a great DD and capable off road rig, or a 2.5 Gen for even more capability off road.

Gen 2.5 Mitsubishi Montero 2000 - Over-landing Family Truck - long term enhancement

Ray, thanks for the response on the Trasharoo. I don't think mine came with that supplemental tensioner strap, and my tires are a bit bigger than yours and I just couldn't get the darn thing on.

Looks good Ray. Now how on earth did you install the trasharoo? I can't get my hands behind the tire to buckle in the clasps.

    LR3 emergency "fixes"

Not necessarily a fix, but a couple useful tips: 1. Turn off DSC mode when off roading. This retards your throttle, often right when more gas will get you through an obstacle 2. If on a seriously off camber section, lower the suspension to parking hgt to reduce your center of gravity by a...

    AT Tire Recommendations

I also vote for the BFG KO2's. On the lighter (more street) side of AT, the Nitto Cross-Tec's have been great on my Nissan Armada.

    LR3 without airbags??

Ironically, my site where I had hosted a bunch of photos related to LR3 stuff is no longer online either. I had tons of detailed photos of my stock coiler suspension, as well as aftermarket spring lift modifications I implemented over the years. Unfortunately, all I have online is the photos I...
